“Our Yorkie-poo was badly bitten by a neighbor’s Rottweiler and we rush him to this office for emergency care. The staff was extremely responsive to the needs of our boy and took him in immediately. They fully explained the treatment plan and potential outcomes. One of the staff members even texted me a photo of him so I could see how he was doing during his stay. He had multiple puncture wounds on his face and lost skin on his lower lip which needed surgery. Thank you for taking such good care of him. It has been 10 days and he is healing well.”

“We brought our dog in from another urgent care facility as her issues seemed to be neurological. The staff at BVNS was very kind and caring. They kept our dog comfortable while preforming their work up on her. Then we talked with Dr. Wood. She very clearly explained our options and we discussed the different scenarios that arise from the options we had. She was very professional and compassionate while working with us during these difficult times. The front desk person, Arlette was also very patient and kindly answered all of our questions as first-time dog owners. Would recomend BVNS and their staff for dogs that need their services.”

“I have been taking all my animals since 2009 to this veterinary clinic. The staff is thoughtful and caring . Today I met a nice veterinarian Dr Fabrizi who took the time to explain to me the process of what kidney failure is and how can I make my cats life better. He was understanding and answered all my questions. I will recommend this vet clinic to anyone who cares for their animals ! And even though I live an hour away will not change them for no one. I know my cats and dog will get the best care!”

“Great doctors and staff. We brought our lab in and they had to break some horrible news to us about his health and later on, help us put him down peacefully. They were extremely compassionate and patient through the whole process. During the worst part of the process, the doctor suggested we all go outside together and let him lay down in the grass to help our pups anxiety. It was such a kind a sweet gesture.”

“I normally do not write reviews, but I feel that I need to write one after my experience yesterday at Catoctin. My 17-year-old dog named Lucie who suffered from several health issues was struggling to breathe yesterday afternoon. I knew it was unfortunately her time and had some reservations about bringing her to the vet to put her down, because I had always wanted to do it at home where she felt most comfortable. I called Catoctin and they told me to bring her in right away. Once I got into the clinic they brought me right into a room. They took her back to put a catheter in her leg and ensured me that she was not stressed. They handed her back to me and were able to administer the drugs while she remained laying on my lap in her bed. The whole time they explained exactly what was happening and reassured me that I was making the correct decision. After she passed the vet asked me if I wanted a hug (since I was visibly distraught and alone since my boyfriend was unable to make it home in time). They then gave me some time alone with her and when I was ready, they walked me out through the back without having to handle any of the payment that day. I am so grateful for the entire staff and for Dr. Trinidad who I believe was the vet who handled the appointment. I would also highly recommend Dr. Robbins, who was Lucie's primary vet and was always patient and helpful with my many concerns. I just wanted to thank Catoctin for making such a stressful and difficult decision easier. I will be using Catoctin for my other pets in the future.”

“I drive my two Barbado da Terceira all the way from Frederick to Leesburg. My female was the first to visit North Oatlands due to their reproductive facilities. They took the time to get to know her, as she is terrified of going to the vet. They ensure she always sees the same vet technician, provide exceptional care. This positive experience led me to bring my male dog to North Oatlands as well.

Unfortunately, my female dog broke her tail and required amputation. Despite her accidentally tearing off the bandage almost daily, they remained patient during the rewrapping process, ensuring her comfort throughout the healing journey.
Not only do I appreciate the doctors and vet techs; the front staff is always cheerful and helpful. I appreciate them as much as I appreciate the practitioners.

Prices are high here. And I mean very, very high. Sometimes one gets what she pays for, and sometimes not. In this case, the high cost justifies the special care received by my two dogs.”

“Dr. Washington reminds me of the doctors from the PBS series, All Creatures Great and Small. Full of life, and so loving and kind towards animals. Great clinic, exceptional staff and technicians, superior care!

“Our dog that was in labor gave birth to 3 puppies in 34 minutes and then stopped, after a few hours(longer than we should have waited) we decided to bring her to a vet as we called around frederick and Hagerstown no one would take until we called The LIFECentre Emergency & Specialty Veterinary Care they said they would take her. when we showed up we were grabbing the paperwork to fill out and before we had time to sit down they came and got talvi and her puppies to bring them to back (was expecting some delay when showing up) shortly after the vet was ready to see us. After explaining her situation and our financial situation they worked with her for hours through a very tough birthing process . The staff is absolutely wonderful they worked with us so that this wouldn't put us deep into debt since surgery was a absolutely last result due to price. they managed to help guide her to birthing the rest of the puppies to the best of their abilities. I couldn't ask for a better vet vist I was so worried going into there but they made us feel comfortable even our dog was comfortable with them taking her out of the room away from us no problems. To sum this up I will forever suggest this place to anyone if they are having animal problems I've never been in a vet that professional and yet so personable at the same time I'm sorry I don't remember the names of the ones who helped us I was extremely sleep deprived(still am) but I want to give a huge thank you to them and everyone else who works there you all are absolutely amazing definitely saved out dogs life and her puppies thank you so much. They definitely went above and beyond.”

“I took my two dogs to Banfield, it was good experiences. Receptionist was nice and Dr. Johnson was nice and she took care of my dogs with good hearts. Vet assistant was nice too. I am glad that I found a good vet.”

“Very nice staff. Seem to have everything one needs for their pets. They also have a grooming service; a lovely cat hotel for adoption of cats; and other pets for purchase ( hamsters, etc...). Prices are fair and they are very knowledgeable.”

The new patient paperwork is streamlined and is actually designed for the 2am-half-asleep owners. The staff are excellent and so efficient, the initial exam occurred within 1min of walking in the door.

Along with the meds being filled literally 10min after the diagnosis - they also included a pill cutter which was such a thoughtful (and honestly unexpected) addition from an emergency vet.
