The parking lot can be tough to find in the dark, but the trail is nice. If you take a left on the main, it ends in about 1.5 miles. I've seen a number of bald eagles in that area. If you take a right you can go much further. It's a flat, easy trail.

Nice spot to see some little-known history of Loudoun County, with the ruins of the Goose Creek Canal lock and the Kephart Bridge.

Trail from a parking lot inside a beautiful neighborhood. Google directions got me there easily. The trail to the Potomac was very short. I did not go along the hiking trail parallel to the river, just stayed down on the bank. Gorgeous scenic views of the Potomac.
