No public bathroom? I spent over $200 and I can’t use the restroom? Unacceptable. It was public 2 weeks ago now suddenly it’s employees only. Never seen this in a petco or PetSmart

Bought a hamster from this location a few weeks ago and it is the friendliest hamster ever!! The staff are all super friendly and gave solid advice on how to care for him. They asked questions to confirm I had the correct tank set up and knew what his needs would be.
Additionally, I was actually there at the same time as someone else who left a bad review regarding getting “sick” fish and saying that an employee was rude to them. I was the next aisle over and heard the whole interaction. The employee was very kind and when she attempted to confirm the information regarding tank set up the customer stated they had several types of fish that were NOT compatible with the “sick” fish. When the employee tried to educate them on it not being a good environment due to the aggressive nature of the other fish they already have establish, they (the customer) said it didn’t matter because per Petco policy it had to be taken back. He then raised his voice at her so she left to get a manager to handle to situation and he followed her to continue complaining that she was incorrect.

I bought a fish from this store yesterday, and unfortunately, it was already sick — something I didn’t notice until I got home. When I went back the next day to address the issue, an employee named Calina (or whatever) escalated the situation unnecessarily and raised her voice, blaming the condition of the fish on my other tank mates — even though I have no aggressive fish and have kept them peacefully for a long time.
While they eventually accepted the return, the store manager sided with the employee’s attitude, which was unprofessional and dismissive. I’ve been a regular and receptive customer here, but after this experience — and seeing similar complaints in the reviews — I’ll be switching to Pet Supplies Plus.
Beware: this location seems to have sick fish and even sicker customer service.

We live in a wonderful area where there's 3 large stores dedicated solely to your pet's needs. This is one of those places. What makes this store unique from the others is that they carry specialty foods (we have cats) that the others do not. So if your cat is being fussy, try something exotic....

I’ve been shopping at the Leesburg, VA store for our dogs for years. Employee helpful and friendly. It’s a small-ish store, but carries a wide variety of food, toys and other supplies.

Very helpful store agent who was pleasant over the phone when I called in for my curbside pickup.
Wish they had the ability on informing the store for curbside on their app but again it was such a pleasant experience speaking to a person. So I didn’t mind. Great job!

Haven't been there in a few years. But it's now looking great! With Liz being there, the store is in better shape. The aquariums are beautiful to look at now. :) and had great inventory of fish. :).

I have always had a good experience with Petco, from buying some supplies and purchasing a cute male guinea pig, ? purchased a cute green male parrket, ? ? for my aquarium. Staff is very helpful and have helped me with making choices with what I needed for my ? my furry crew and my ?️ high friend.
