Really great crew working here…they helped me pick out a great bike for my husband’s birthday and assembled it themselves…very knowledgeable, friendly service and well priced.

Bought a hybrid here a couple years ago and wanted to add a road bike after greatly increasing use this past summer. Allen and Oscar were beyond patient and helpful with all the questions I had and were invested in helping me find the right one for me. Not having a lot of background in cycling, it can be intimidating to know what to look for but this shop stands out for great customer service and truly having a passion for what they do. Big bonus for me patronizing this LBS is the charity work they do and being veteran owned. Highly recommend Maverick and thanks Allen and Oscar!

Everything you want in a neighborhood bike shop. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and ultimately just seem to want to help their customers. Anyone in Leesburg with bike needs, no matter how small, should make Maverick their go-to

Can't say enough good things about Maverick Bicycles! We bought a new bike for our daughter today, and Eirik was so helpful and patient with us. He went out of his way to make sure we got what we needed. Thank you, Maverick!

I went in for a front derailleur issue and Oscar helped me right on the spot with more than fair pricing. He provided me with additional maintenance tips regarding my bike. I was very impressed by the whole experience!

I am a regular customer and have never had any problems. Last week I took my bike in for a tuneup and have wheels checked out.
Yesterday I took my bicycle out for a 40 mile ride To my shock I had a blow out during the ride which ruined my rear wheel. After taking the wheel off I realized that they put another tire on it which I did not authorize.
I don’t know if that was the cause of the blow out. The new management, should contact the customer before installing something so personal like tires.
In all they solved the problem by practically giving me a new set of wheels. Although the mechanic wanted to install a tire that I did not want. The old management would not have done this.

The helpful and friendly people at Maverick helped me choose my new bike today. We discussed what I wanted in my new bike and what I liked about the bike I was replacing and they picked 3 bikes for me to test ride. I went back and forth with one of the bikes before I decided. After a 13 mile ride as soon as I got it home, I’m even more pleased! I will definitely return for any future bike related purchases.

I took my bike to Maverick bike shop to get a tire change. The people were nice and friendly. I felt like family. I waited for my tire to be fixed and took it home. The very next morning I went to ride the bike, when I sat down to ride, I only went about five feet and the entire back wheel fell off. This is an e-bike and when it rolled that five feet, this cause electrical wires and connections to be damaged. I contacted Maverick bikes on the Saturday that this happened. I shared what happened and I was told to bring the bike on the next open day. I drove over 40 miles back to the shop. I left the bike with them and they called me to tell me the electric motor was gone and there was nothing they could do. The proceeded to work on the bike but caused additional damage to wiring. The bike then became irreparable. They proceeded to tell me where to go to purchase a new bike. They became unhelpful and were not remorseful about the issue. They caused me to lose a $1800 bike and offered no assistance at all. I now have a new bike but will not make the mistake of visiting this shop ever again. Please beware.

My boys are rough on their bikes and we did not want to buy another new bike. We called out of desperation to see are the bike salvageable? They fixed tires, alignment, taught the boys some fixes they can do…and it was not the price of a NEW bike. Now we only shop here for all or biking needs

Perhaps this place does good work, but I wouldn't know. My father and I were 45 miles deep into our ride when my chain broke. We hoofed it a mile or so to the nearest bike shop, in the hopes they'd be able to swap w/ new chain. Instead, we were told "that's not how it works---we have 5 week backlog". The chain is standard size and having changed many before, I know that w the basic tools it'd be a 5-10 min fix. I understand the high service volume, but i think setting aside a few minutes to help riders who are in the midst of a long ride is the right choice. We're not being impatient-- we're stuck! Anyway, we were too focused on getting back to our ride to fully course correct the kid behind the counter. Just smirked, bought a chain (and chain tool) and replaced it out front the store. And yup, it took about 15 min. I now have an extra chain tool and a bike store I'll avoid next time.

I came for a bike tube up on my commuter bike. Can't tell you how good the work was, but can tell you they're sloppy, "must have just wiped it down with a dirty rag", and destroyed the paint job in a way that somehow multiple bike shops and co-ops didn't over a decade. We are talking so dirty a rag the bike was sticky and rag fragments were on the bike after I got it back. Truly impressed with their lack of attention to detail. Their attitude was that it was my problem or that they could scratch it up some more to make my glossy Bianchi matte.

The kind staff filled both of my bikes’ tires with air for free and made sure I was happy by giving it a test ride to make sure they felt just right. A wonderful experience; will be back for all my biking needs!

Had a bad experience at another bike shop that never got resolved. Issue: install upgraded hydraulic brakes - both front and back - on my Jamis Coda. Problem: The brakes were not compatible with the shifters, and they leaked. The bleed ports were stripped. After spending $160 I had no confidence in the brakes, and could not ride my bike. I took the Coda to Maverick at the recommendation of Handy Bikes (which I highly recommend). They are in DC and too far of a drive. Dawn assessed the problem. The brakes could not be saved, and she installed a new set. She also raised my bar with a new stem stack. I am so appreciative of this shop handling my problem. Warning: to any bike techs reading this review. Please don't tackle hydraulic brakes if you have no to little experience. It only frustrates customers. BTW: I did go back and request full credit at the other shop.
