I’ve been at a lot of barns, but this one is home. My horse and I love it here! Loretta loves and cares for her horses so beautifully!!! She has also crafted a curriculum that teaches her students far more than riding- they are challenged to know, to notice, to listen, and to care. I love that when weather prevents riding, Loretta uses that time to work with her students on ground work, liberty, horse anatomy and care- there is so much more to riding than what happens in the saddle!!! It’s just an all-around wonderful place and I love it a lot.

20/20 Horsemanship is barn like no other in Loudoun County. Loretta really emphasizes the importance and value of connecting with the horse you are working with. She encourages you to form a partnership and to always pay close attention to what the horse is communicating to you. Everyone the barn is very welcoming and we all pull together when we can to get Barn chores done except it's never a chore when we're there because we have so much fun. It is like a family. In addition I have learned so much about Horsemanship since I have been working with Loretta. She's the best trainer I have had in my life and her ponies/ horses are very well cared for and super happy ?.

My daughters love working with Loretta at 20/20. They are learning so much about horses (and dogs, cats, and ducks, too) and they love to tell me about their lessons every week.

After 10 years out of the saddle, Loretta has been the perfect instructor to help get me back into riding as an adult. I have ridden at large/fancy barns in the past but I would choose Loretta’s over that type of program any day. The individualized instruction she provides is such a nice change after being on the “lesson conveyer belt” for many years as a kid. It’s also worth noting that all of her horses/ponies are extremely well taken care of and are not overworked (something I’ve seen time and again at other barns).

Mrs. Loretta is the best!! Wonderful instructor and great place to ride. My girls have been taking her class. Riding and instruction on how to care for a horse. It has been the best experience. I recommend her over anyone else in the area.

Loretta is an amazing teacher. She's extremely supportive, holds me accountable, pushes me to succeed while making sure I'm having fun, and gives extremely helpful feedback. I've been a working student for 20/20 for over a year and I have learned SO much. From learning about a topic, to being able to apply it in my riding, to being able to identify and fix a problem on my own. Her ponies are amazing. They are such great teachers and have amazing personalities. Lily is my love and she's an instant feedback pony :) If you're interested in taking riding lessons for the first time or looking to getting back in the saddle, Loretta is the perfect pick. She specializes in teaching beginners and getting people comfortable returning to riding. Loretta and her daughter Lauren are my second family and are so supportive of me in my riding and my life outside of riding. I love 20/20 Horsemanship with my whole heart, the people, the ponies, and the experience.

If I could rate this barn a zero I would. I was a former student of Loretta’s about 4 to 5 years ago. While attending this barn I learned absolutely nothing and did the same things every single lesson. On top of that Loretta and her daughter were extremely rude and charged a lot for lessons when it should have never been so expensive. I recommend not sending your child here and actually getting the lessons you deserve somewhere else and from a true professional.

The horses are extremely well taken care of, all the staff is super helpful and supportive! Everything looks super fresh and well kept, you can tell that there goes a lot of effort in keeping the horses and the students happy :-)

This is the perfect place to be if you want to learn good horsemanship. I searched to find a place that would teach me how to ride and communicate with the horse - a partnership - in a safe environment that cares about both horse and rider. This is it! I can’t say enough about how great Loretta and her staff are - their love and respect for horses are amazing!!

Loretta is a great instructor so nice great prices high quality I love her horses! If your looking for places to ride this is the place! Lauren (her daughter) is also super nice. Great horses, Nice Staff, High Quality, Great Barn, and My Lifelong Barn! Oh and..... Hi Loretta you are the best instructor!!!

Loretta and Blue have been one of the brightest parts of this year. I began lessons about 6 months ago, as an adult beginner, and have learned so much. Loretta is patient and encouraging. Not only is she teaching me to ride, but she is helping prepare me for some day owning my own horse. Highly recommend 20/20 Horsemanship!

Thanks for the great instruction and support, Loretta! My 11-year-old loves her lessons here. She has learned a lot in a very short period of time. We've had some minor scheduling issues, which for us are not a big deal because we live in the neighborhood. Just be sure to reach out to confirm your lesson times if you aren't sure, and Loretta is always very responsive.
