Nice camp ground right on the river. Been coming for years and it just seemed this time that it was more run down than usual.

Great location, lots to do but bring your bug spray!
Nearby activities: Close to Williamsburg with so many options.
We also rented kayaks right at the park and paddled around the river.
We road the trails with our mountain bikes over to a restaurant on the river and ate lunch on the water. Very nice.
Walkability: The park is large and has plenty of places to walk or ride bikes. There is also a path that is walkable or bike able between campground and Chickahominy River where there is a restaurant you can eat right in the water.
Food and drinks: They have food trucks on the weekend which was great if you didn’t want to venture out. Also close enough to go into Williamsburg for dinner if you want. We enjoyed both!

Have to be honest, if you're here to get away from it all this probably isn't the place for you. BUT!!! If you're here to visit Williamsburg and the surrounding attractions, this is your spot! Scenery is beautiful, the fishing is great and I have to say the staff and the residents are fantastic. Battery died in my truck while I was fishing and was assisted immediately by a couple of friendly residents there ?. And when I was done fishing and ready to leave I found a note on my truck saying that I overpaid for the kayak launch fee and they told me to come in and grab my money. This place is fantastic!

Nice serene place to pull up your RV. The staff is very friendly. I enjoy the sunsets and the laid back atmosphere. I just started RVing and this is my go-to place…at least for now. I find comfort here just a few miles from the city hustle and bustle amongst many other things that I won’t speak about here..this is about Rockahock! I love this place.
Nearby activities: Close to RVA and Williamsburg (attractions and outlets)
Noteworthy details: Beautiful sunsets! Beautiful staff!

Office staff were very rude. There was an error with the booking. Never received a phone call from them when we "didn't show up".
There is no entertainment. No activities. Huge amphitheater and it was desolate. Playgrounds empty. Pool small and clean, but empty.
Bath houses clean.
Garbage areas now locked in the back and you have to find and ask where and how to get to it.
There was a tiny home.
Tons of long term -- Swimming area on the beach was desolate and rightfully so due to the amount of allege, lily pads, etc.
This has become a mobile home park. Tons of off shoots for additional long term stay that are not paved.
One person during the entire stay was out in a boat on the water.

We have camped here for years in our camper without issue but this time we decided to try the Villa’s since our camper needs some work and we regret it. The villas could barely maintain a cool temperature and the management kept accusing us and other family members at the villas of having dogs. I do have 3 dogs but all were safely at home being watched by a dog sitter and all weigh about 100lbs so not easy to hide either. So after barging in our villa and seeing no dog the manager began to say that reports had been made of a dog in either our villa or villa one in which my nephew was staying and since his dog is a full bred German shepherd I am pretty sure had it been with us they would have known. What I do know is that in villa six there was an older man with a small dog he was sneaking in and out but that has nothing to do with myself or my family party of about 30 that camped there this weekend! The campground is close to Williamsburg but the management is atrocious and could really stand to learn some basic customer service.

Staff was rude and unprofessional towards my family the whole time, other than that it was fine. Just average.
