This has to be the best veternary in the world! Not only did the doctor take care of dogs allergy issue, everyone was so nice, and explained everything to me and what i needed to dog to make my dog better. I can not thank them enough. I would recommend going here if your looking for a vet., and only place i will go from no on.

I went to this vet for 3-4 years and had positive experiences and I recently moved states. My cat has gingivitis due to getting Calicivirus as a kitten. So he needs yearly dentals. Unfortunately, my new vet told me that he has two missing teeth. Iv never paid for teeth extractions at this vet. So he either lost them on the way from his last dental or during the time he was a regular at this vet. This vet never let me know that he has two missing teeth. It was never recorded in his chart. It’s very heartbreaking to hear that my cat was silently suffering from tooth resorptions which led to him losing his teeth on his own. Then my other cat, one of the vets wrote in her chart that she has a lesion in her mouth. Lesions are a clear sign of tooth resorption. I had NO idea that my cat needed a dental, they never once told or explained to me what lesions or tooth resorptions meant. So now at my new vet my poor girl needs a dental with three problem teeth and two possible teeth extractions. I could have gotten her a dental scheduled before I moved to save her this pain. I think these vets need to prioritize regular teeth checks on cats and explain to owners what lesions lead to in the mouth. Teeth resorptions impact 20-60% of all cats starting at age 2-5, some even younger. Please be vigilant!!!!

Dr. Prime and her staff are fantastic! She has correctly diagnosed tricky problems -- one that even a major critical care hospital in the area missed -- and she always does the right thing. She seems to know just what, and how much, is the key ... never overdoing or underdoing. She and her staff are also up on the very latest studies and resources. You can tell she deeply cares about every animal that comes in -- and they can tell that too. My cats relax with her and trust her. And so do I !

Have been going to Tackett's Mill Vet Hospital since 2017 and on our 2nd pup with them. The staff is wonderful as well as Dr Prime. I would recommend this Veterinary clinic/hospital if anyone asks. Thank you all!!

Great service again today! Our Chiweenie had a bad reaction to an injection, and the staff quickly rallied to get her treated and back to normal.

Inconsistent vet techs, unorganized charting on pet and misdiagnosed dog. I would not trust them with any serious issue.Advice: retrain staff, ensure that side conversations behind doors are kept professional, we can hear you in the exam room.

Prices for vaccinations are wayyyy too high. Didn’t even tell me the price of the vaccines before vaccinating my dog. 77 for a rabies shot? wild. I work at a vet and it’s only $25. Only reason why I didn’t take my dog to my vet is because they were fully booked for the day and i’m going on vacation. Vetco is also way cheaper than 77. Don’t go here for vaccinations — save your bag sis.

We were referred here by the Prince William Lost and Found after a very friendly stray cat needing medical attention showed up at our house and we couldn't keep him. The staff there took great care of him and helped us get him ready for adoption. Highly recommended.

i am so happy with my decision to go to this vet. The front desk staff was very helpful when i made my appointment. I went for the visit today with my cat. Dr. Prime explained everything with my pet so well, and answered all of my questions and concerns about him. The tech who helped me was very friendly as well. Also, I really appreciated that with a no contact curbside appt, Dr. Prime came out to speak with me. Thank you Dr. Prime & Tackett’s Mill Vet Hospital!!
