My wife and I celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary wine tasting dinner at the Manor. The service was excellent, the food and wine pairing was fantastic. We did not stay in the rooms but we plan on visiting again in the future.
Food & drinks: Excellent food and service.

My wife and I often stay at Glen Gordon. It stays very busy. We have to be careful to book early. Each stay has been remarkable, but I take the time to review the most recent stay because of the exceptional service. Michelle looks after us on each visit and she was joined this time by Rachina at breakfast and Tatiana at the front desk. Izzy was our server for a party of 6 that grew to 9 in just a few minutes on the day of the meal. No problem from the entire staff including Dayne who made it all happen. This is a great place to stay in Washington, VA area. We highly recommend it.

This place is a dream! You could not ask for a more charming, peaceful, and romantic bed and breakfast with stunning views of the Shenandoah Valley. My husband and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary here and loved every minute. Each morning they deliver coffee to your door before you make your way to a homemade breakfast. The grounds are lovely including a pool where towels, sunscreen, and numerous books are available to guests. The staff here are so accommodating (shout out to Christopher, Izzy, Katie, and Michelle!). Dinner at Houndstooth was great, and our couples massage was amazing. As an added bonus, they mailed my Mason Pearson hairbrush I left behind free of charge. Can't say enough good things about Glen Gordon!

Set against the foothills of the northern entrance to Shenandoah National Park, The Glen Gordon Manor must visit.
Food & drinks: The 5 course dinner is not to be missed. From the creativity to the presentation to the bouquet of sensory pleasures puts it as one of, if not The Best dining experiences we have ever had.
The service was also 5 Star. The wine cellar is extensive and the staff is very knowledgable of the varietals.
We will definitely will return to the Glen Gordon Manor.

The Houndstooth restaurant is superior and the setting magical.
All 5 courses on the Prix Fixe menu were delicious, the flavoring and creative pairings of fresh perfect ingredients could not been more perfect. We celebrated a birthday at the restaurant and were treated with great service and kindness.
We will return!!!

My fiancé and I stayed at Glen Gordon this past weekend to celebrate his birthday and had a wonderful time! The grounds are absolutely stunning and offer a truly breath taking view, the rooms are clean and spacious, the food is delicious and the staff is very welcoming and personable! We can’t wait to return in the future!

Great experience for our family of three. Important to know they charge more for the third guest, $100 for an adult, $50 for a child. Beautiful property and a fantastic breakfast. The rooster and tractor was a hit with our toddler. Was not a fan of how much roundup I watched them spray all around the main entry for what looked like simple weeding.

This is a gem! Perfect place for a retreat. We had a group of 10 people and the place exceeded expectations. This is a family owned business that runs really well.
The food was excellent and top quality, we enjoyed every meal. The service was familial and all the employees were kind and understanding. The cottages were clean and supper spacious. As the organizer of the group, I felt like I was running the group at my home.
The place is not equipped with Audio Visual equipment which we had to bring, but I understand that it is not the intent for a place that inspires peace and reflection.
We were surprised with how prepared they are for electric cars, having chargers on site and the ipads in each room.
Any challenge we had, we quickly overcame it and it was easy to work things out with nice welcoming staff.
We want to come back and have another retreat soon!
Food & drinks: The food is top quality and the chef and pastry chef put a lot of effort in creating the menus. We were surprised every day at lunch and dinner with great choices paired with wine and beautiful plating.

My partner and I stayed there for two nights over the weekend. We were visiting friends in the area and decided to make a trip out of it.
The inn was very welcoming and has good charms about it. We stayed at the Wallis suite and love the space and amenities. Our favorite place is the bug house where we spent most of our times reading and chatting.
The rate comes with a breakfast - the taste is good although portion tends to be in the smaller side.
For weekend stay we had to make reservations at the Houndstooth restaurant - the inn restaurant. The food was decent and fairly well executed, the wine pairing was good.
The service there was earnest and genuine. May not be as polished but I appreciate their hospitality nonetheless. Kudos to Scott and Izzy for making our stay there very memorable.

This past weekend my wife and I stayed at the Glen Gordon Manor to celebrate our 31st anniversary and my retirement. The Glen Gordon was recommended to us by friends that had been there before and it turned out to be a perfect recommendation.
Upon arriving we were greeted by Madison who took wonderful care of our check-in, gave us a champagne tour of the Manor and introduced us to several of the very free range chickens that run around outside of the main sitting room. We hadn’t had a chance to stop for lunch so Madison asked the chef if he could make us a couple of sandwiches which he graciously did and she delivered them to our cabin shortly after.
We stayed in the Kenmure room which was perfect for us. It is about a 50 yard walk up the hill from the main Manor with a stunning view of the mountains from the front porch.
The next morning, coffee was delivered to our cottage by Rachana in Stainless Steel mugs that keep the temperature perfect while we got ready for breakfast. Breakfast both mornings was incredible. Fresh eggs from the chickens, combined with toast and roasted potatoes started our mornings out on a high note. The first morning we sat in the main sitting area and watched the chickens run around while the second morning we sat in the gallery lounge that overlooks the small pool.
In the afternoon, after a visit to Rappahannock Cellars just a couple of miles down the road from the Manor, we had massages in the stables. The Masseuse was very strong for such a slight woman and really got into the always sore muscles of my back.
Then came the premier event of the stay, the five course dinner in the Houndstooth Restaurant. Assisting us with the meal was Izzy who made an already special meal even more special with her charming personality and knowledge of the food and wine. We opted for the wine pairing with each course and loved them all. For courses we had Baby Beet Salad, Artichoke Soup, Aleppo Crusted Tuna Loin, Pan Roasted Salmon for me / Duo of Beef for my wife and a decadent Chocolate Caramel Dome as the final course. We took our time so we could make it to dessert and were never rushed. I was amazed when we went to leave and saw that we had been there for 2 ½ hours. It was truly an exquisite fine dining experience. I had high hopes based on recommendations and those hopes were completely exceeded.
Rachana checked us out after breakfast the next morning and we took off on the hour long drive back to our town of Leesburg. It is so close to home and so nice not to have to fly to experience something as wonderful as the Manor.
If you are celebrating a special occasion, I can’t think of a better place than the Glen Gordon Manor.

The estate was beautiful, very scenic and relaxing.
Room we had was right next to reception desk but was very quite. However, we had parking lot view with walkway right in front of our room so we couldn't keep the curtains open most of the time. Overall I think it was very relaxing stay and we appreciated the classic interior and history of the Manor. But I do have to say that there's not much to do except looking over the landscape. It was bit chilly for us to enjoy the pool so we skipped the pool time. If you are looking for relaxing and really just to unwind and not so much of an activity, this is perfect place to stay, but if you are looking for more, this manor would be great for quick stop only.
Staff members were friendly and welcomed us with glass of champagne. Also we had Prix Fixe Five-Course Dinner and it was good but I do think it was on a pricy side. But if its your special day, its a way to celebrate.

I can't recommend Glen Gordon Manor enough - especially for a wedding or special celebration. We recently had a welcome reception here for a Rappahannock wedding weekend and this felt exactly like being in someone's home. The food, the wine, the ambiance was perfection. 5 stars all around for the special place Dane & Nancy have created!

My wife and I both loved Glen Gordon Manor! Beautiful accomodations in a bucolic setting--peaceful and romantic setting that was perfect for a one night getaway, less than 90 mintes from DC. Great eclectic artwork inisde and fantastic vistas looking outside. Dinner at the B&B's Houndstooth restaurant was superb--creative and delicious five courses, impeccable service. The breakfast was also very good. Not inexpensive but well worth it!
