So my son has been coming here for about a year now for shampoos and retwist for special events (I usually retwist and wash it myself due to cost). We have been very happy with the results. I did however have an interesting event occur today. I had been trying to set an appointment for my daughter to get her butterfly locs taken down which was a cost of $85 (includes wash and blow dry). When you book an appointment you have to pay $25 for services less than $100 and $50 for services $100 or more as a deposit for your appointment. The issue was when I went to purchase my service it wanted the whole $85 instead of the deposit of $25. No problem I called and let the owner know and she said she’d have it fixed and to try on 30 minutes. I did and it gave the option to pay the deposit but the price was raised to $100! Me asking about a deposit made the service price go from $85 to $100…Like wow! I pray this was a mistake but I doubt it. ?*UPDATE *This was their response…“Thank you for your concern. But noneof the prices are exact. The system is pre set we can not put full prices. Everyone's hair is different and some may require more work and time. The price you see is the minimum. Deposit is to hold the spot and not waste our time waiting for a no show. Deposit is non refundable.We do have an option for a consultation if you would like a indept explanation and break down of your personal cost..Making changes to accommodate will not happen again. It is the price you now see.I am thankful for the love over 25years.See you next time.”This doesn’t explain how a price was $85 then changed to $100 from a question on paying a deposit but ok. I can see a price changing or going up when i get there based on hair but this wasn’t the case. Also, to say “making changes to accommodate will not happen again” is not good for customer relations. Especially when there was no accommodations needed. I simply wanted to pay my deposit that was all.

2 seconds into the phone call there was a professional standard set to the equality of a McDonald’s at 2am on a Friday night. I pray for anyone who doesn’t communicate like them. It will NOT go well. Do not waste your time like me. ALSO continued to degrade me as if It would make her get my business back, calling me evil & defensive after a simple criticism. Reminded me of a very disrespectful teenage fast food worker.
