I simply cannot put into words how much I love this store. They have it all - fresh produce, canned and dry goods, candy, coffee, antiques, candles, furniture - you name it. The staff is friendly and the store is very inviting. As a fan of old fashioned general stores, Hillmont Mercantile is in my top 3 for sure.

Wonderful place to find heirloom tomatoes, which you can save those seeds and grow your own plants, wonderful selection of merchandise and fresh foods, and even consignment. Wonderful, friendly staff that’s always looking to improve their shop and very creative on their designs.

From Hillmont Mercantile
Hillmont Mercantile is located in the historic Hillmont Hotel in downtown Hillsville. We have antiques, handmade crafts, Hoosier cabinets, produce, jarred goods, candies, snacks, new clothes, and much more. Come sit a spell on our front porch rockers and have a bottle of pop. A visit to the Mercantile is a trip back in time.
