I had the most wonderful experience from the second I walked in to the moment I left. The new manager, Tiffany, was beyond helfpul explaining my insurance when I asked and Maddie was a joy to work with. She took the time to help me choose the best glasses for my face and I had the best time working with her. If you get the chance to go here please work with Maddie as you won't regret it

This used to be Dr Findley Eye Care. Dr Grant is fantastic and both my wife and i have been going to him for years. There was a bit of a transition going to My Eye Dr but things now are great. Si was our Glass Guy who helped us find a great pair of glasses. He was so patient and had many good suggestions. I highly recommend them.

This place used to be the best. Dr. Colin Grant has become someone we actually look forward to seeing, he really took care of us, my kids absolutely love him. I have two children in CRT lenses (specialized lenses to slow the decline of their eyesight) and we've been seeing him for at least 3 years now, if not 4.I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I've witnessed the decline in customer service and front desk staff since this place was taken over by My Eye Dr. The good staff have left, the ones who cared and had your back. Just today I showed up for our appointment and was told it was CANCELLED. I was told that maybe I pressed a button by mistake on the text confirmation, I looked up the text and I definitely had not cancelled the appointment by mistake. All the front desk person could tell me was that it was cancelled "by the system automatically". How is that even possible? It's enough that we have to wait WEEKS for appointments to even get seen when follow up should be urgently scheduled, and I've been patient with that, but now an appointment I scheduled weeks ago was just mysteriously cancelled? Unacceptable.This is absolutely the last straw for me. While it breaks my heart because we love Dr. Grant, I will not be staying as a patient. You just lost a patient that spent thousands of dollars every year on these specialty lenses. My Eye Dr is just a corporate machine, and you'll never get the actual personalized care you need. Don't even bother, take your business somewhere else.

I do not recommend this My Eye Doctor location. I purchased a very expensive Nike glasses in Jan 2020 and the frame has had lots of issues since I had them (loosing screws, falling off the behind ear part). I recently took glasses to have a minor adjustment and I have been very disappointed for spending way so much money for such a very low quality pair of glasses.I talked to the store mgr (white heavy lady- don't know her name). She took my glasses to the back and when I got glasses returned, I noticed the metal frame got lots and lots of scratches. I asked her about the scratches that were not there before and if she used very heavy chemicals. She responded she didn't and she never do that. I hardly ever wear my glasses, I use my contacts 80% of the time or maybe more and my glasses should look like new not with lots of scratches all over and I know she did something bad maybe she was not paying attention to wh she was doing and didn't notice she had scratched all the frame.I have used glasses for at most 7 months during the time I owned them. That manager did not seem any friendly at all, she looked like she was mad and probably very unhappy about her job. I have been to this location before and they also have very high employee turnover, probably no one is happy to work at this location in 709 Pine Street in Herndon, Va and everyone leaves work in very short time.My opinion is that this place has a terrible unfriendly customer service and they love to damage your glasses if you go to them.I never expect any optical to do any damage to a very costly pair of glasses and such a very poor quality for a Nike Brand.Visit at your own risk and take your chances to get your glasses damaged by the manager or any other employee at this location.

Do your self a favor and stay the heck away from this location and My Eye Dr in general. This place is pathetic zero fks given regarding their patients. We have been a customer of Dr. Finley for years(before it got acquired by My Eye Dr). Their professionalism and friendly staffs were best in the area, unfortunately this is no longer the case. Never pick up the phone and when they do they’ll put you on a long hold at least 30 mins. front desk is rude, order never gets placed had to call in to check every other week, the best part is inconsistency in their lying skills. A different story told every time we called. The only reason we are still here is because Dr. Colin Grant who has been here long before the acquisition. Best eye dr imo, very knowledgeable and professional, extremely caring for his patients. Dr. Grant deserves a better practice. If you have to go to this place….ask for Dr. Grant!!!

Si is awesome! I need a quick tune up for my glasses, and he was awesome on the phone, but went above and beyond my expectations in person. I was in and out in less than ten minutes, and he had a smile on his face the entire time. Thank you, Si!!

Awful. I went to this location for several years when it was still Dr. Finley's Eye Care center. All the doctors I originally saw (Dr. Finley and Dr. Kim) have left and the service is declining. When I showed up for my morning appointment the other week, the doctor never showed up and none of the staff could get ahold of them. 45 minutes later after my appointment start time, the update was that the doctor was "sick" and I should reschedule. No thanks

Poor service, almost 3 weeks past and still i am waiting on my eyeglasses. Previous one was broken struggling without glasses. Instead of expedite it they are dealing it...it still i have not received my glasses yet. Worst part is they are not keeping me posted on my order status i need to follow up them.

They put me on hold TWICE. The second time for 30 minutes!!!!….until five minutes after they closed. I really don’t like this place. If you have to go to this eye doctor company, go to another one.I am leaving the country for a few months and asked if there was any way they could ask the lab to have the glasses done just one day sooner so I could take them with me on the months-long trip. Nope. No way. It’s two weeks or nothing. No help, no calls, no advice. I’m one and done at this place.

This office doesn't care to provide customer services. They had canceled our appointment 5 min before the visit. Because they forgot to check if they except our insurance. It's all about money, not about care. No apology, neither.

When you are there the service is great, but they tend to cancel appointments very often. I went a couple of years ago and stopped going cause they canceled my appointment last minute after waiting for a month. I Decided again to do the same this year and guess what, two hours before my appointment they canceled again. This is the third time I have this issue so I guess it is time to move on…

I am a patient of Dr. Finley's Family Eyecare for several years. Always, I receive excellent eye exams and care from all staff. But I would like to especially express my appreciation to Mr. Bryant Wright. He helped me several times with so much attention that I could solve all the problems that I had with both my old and new eyeglasses. Bryant is very knowledgeable, deeply attentive to details, very polite and intelligent. I always have full satisfaction after visiting this office and receiving help from Bryant Wright.Also, my sincere gratitude to the associate Claudia Paz, who always takes the time and makes the effort necessary to refill my prescriptions of Restasis. To whom it may concern Today, 10/22/2022, our entire family came to our appointment at Dr. Finley Eyecare, my husband, nyself, my son and my daughter. To our surprise, I am the only scheduled patient in their system and the rest of my family is not scheduled. Since it was 1pm, we were told they cannot accommodate all four of us. They offered to send two of my family members to MyEyeDr Reston branch and accommodate another family member in their office along with me. I was very upset with the situation because I have long booked this schedule. Our family has been a patient of this clinic for over a decade and everytime we come for eye appointment, you can check historically in your records that we all come together. Given that everyone work in our family, clearing everyone's schedule so that we can all go together is difficult. So I would like you to know that what happened is not acceptable to us specially that we have been loyal patients. As I have said, we have been patients for over a decade and even when we moved further away, we stayed to this clinic and did not even consider changing our eye doctor closer to our home. Considering that we live further away and driving to this clinic is not easy along with clearing out everyone's schedule to come to this appointment, this is such a huge frustration to us. You need to train your front desk staff to ensure that mistakes like this does not happen. Unfortunately, because of what happened, you will no longer see us in this clinic and we finally decided to look for another eye doctor closer to our home,

Dr zGrant is great. He listens and answers your questions in a way that is understandable. HOWEVER, my only complaint is that there is no seating that will accommodate a larger person. All the seats have arms and the width of a coach airplane seat. SUGGESTION, please have at least one or two chairs without arms.
