I am looking into theatrical/ performance makeup but wanted to take a regular makeup artistry course to get the basics down first and get some experience working on other people. This class was more than I could have imagined and I loved everything about it. The teachers I had, Marlena and assistant Victor, are very supportive and patient and always willing to help out in any way they can. They bring lots of light and laughter into the seriousness of the class and it is comforting to not feel under so much pressure with their sense of humor and ability to communicate efficiently while also making the class fun. The classes are easy to follow along with and each class we got lots of time to practice hands on at the end. Overall I am very happy with my experience here and would recommend to anyone whether you’ve never done makeup before or think you are a pro already:) You can always learn something new!

OMG! How I can start? This is the best place to become a Professional Makeup Artist for sure, they all care about everyone so much and all of the instructors share all of their knowledge, and you really can tell that they share all of their tips, tricks and secrets too. What I loved the most is that I always have all my questions answered, and they never make me feel that they were rushing. They were never too busy to help me or answer my questions and I they really care about you, and even Axel (the founder) answer my questions with a lot of patience till I understood. I love so much all the staff Marlena, Victor and Wendy were my instructors and they just make my journey so much easier. I love so much this Academy, being available to take the course change my life ?Here I leave some of the looks that I never thought that I can do but here you have me creating all of these looks and more! ?

I really want to thank Axels academy for everything I have been taught. I do have to say I feel much more confident about makeup now that I know what I am doing. I cannot thank my instructor Marlena enough for being organized, responsive , and patient with everyone, Victor has also been very helpful, patient, I loved his taste of music every class, very motivating . Everyone is very welcoming and understanding .I would definitely recommend this academy .

I took the 15 week class with Marlena and Victor and it was the best decision I could’ve made to begin my makeup career. I felt so welcomed and I learned so much throughout this course. Marlena and Victor did a great job teaching me everything I need to know to become an MUA. They genuinely inspired me and made my love for makeup so much stronger. Everyone was so kind and always gave me the help I needed to improve my skills!

I just wanna say I really liked this course of 15 weeks I really enjoyed it, i like everything I liked how they would show everything step by step, they would come to your desk and help you if you had any questions. I also liked how everything is really organized, they gonna give you your own kit for yourself, and lastly I did help me improve a lot on my make up journey especially eyes that’s the main thing I was having hard time with. I just wanna say thank y’all to all the Axel make up academy team for having the time and patience with all of your students ?

I really enjoyed every class that I took for the 15 weeks I was here, but one of my favorite class was the fantasy makeup because you can become a bit more creative with the looks. I like how they show you step by step on how to apply everything and tell you what you have to improve in which I think helps out a lot to see what we have to work better on.

Taking this course was the best decision I have made for myself in a long while. Yes, you can learn most anything from YouTube these days, but it isn’t the same as being in class with an instructor who can critique your work and help you to improve. The instructors expect you to push yourself, but they are all so generous and kind. I love that the students are of all ages, nationalities, and levels of ability. We learn so much by working with each other in class. I also love that the teachers are working makeup artists, and truly understand the industry. I hope to teach here one day after I master my skills.Also, the makeup in the kit they provide is NICE.Finally, once you pay to go through the academy, they allow you to come back and retake any class you want for free, which is really nice when we get into the more difficult makeup techniques. The course is expensive, but 100% worth it.

I had a very good experience with the Academy. Everything was thought in detail. The instructors are very detailed and open to answer all questions. They teach from modern makeup to traditional, editorials and fantasy makeup. Axel, Wendy, Victor, and Alex are all amazing. Very friendly and amazing staff. help I would like to come back and be an assistant for the Saturday class if I have the opportunity.

I just took my 15 week course and I absolutely fell in love with the class!! The instructors and Axel himself are such amazing people, they answered every question with ease and patience for people who are just starting to learn Makeup. AsFor myself I joined this class knowing that I want this to be my full-time career, I’ve learned so many new techniques, tricks, and tips from these lovely instructors that I can apply to my routine. I want to thank the whole Axel team for being such wonderful people for putting all the effort into helping me succeed and giving me the experience of a life time.! I’m now proud to call myself a PROFESSIONAL MUA !!

Axel did my make up for my wedding on May 2023 and I could not have been happier! Axel made such a positive influence in my life and was my favorite vendor. I felt beautiful on my wedding day and that is thanks to Axel Makeup Academy. I was in the 15 weeks makeup course and everything was so amazing! Being apart of this class meeting the instructors and Axel was wonderful. This is an absolutely wonderful group of people who help you with anything and everything to get you to where you want to be. From being brand new to makeup to knowing some things already this course and instructors really do teach you a lot and genuinely love what they do. I highly recommend joining this course if you’re thinking about it! You will love it!
