I’ve been a very satisfied customer for about 30 years (and counting) and have only the highest praise for this wonderful small business. This is a gem - a perfect example of why Herndon prides itself on having a small-town feel. In an era that’s become grindingly impersonal, to me, factors like warmth, courtesy, industry knowledge, fair price, and dedication to high standards matter. When I recently decided to replace some bedroom carpeting, I *could* have shopped at any big box store, but as always I chose American Carpet. From the moment I walked in and was warmly greeted by Hossein, I knew I was in good hands. He carries a range of flooring products for every need and budget and will consult with you on what works for you. I’ve bought carpeting, remnants, and stair runners here, but you can also buy tile for floors, showers, kitchens, you name it. He is friendly, knowledgeable, a prompt and clear communicator. He came out to measure and to discuss any special considerations such as closets or any furniture that needs specialized handling. (Sleep Number bed, I’m looking at you.) The installers he contracts with are friendly, meticulous, and hard working. Finally, he follows up to make sure you are satisfied with the product and the work. No pro forma survey here, with canned answers, like too many businesses do. American Carpet was recommended by a friend. His recommendation was spot-on. We couldn't be happier with the results. Hussein was a pleasure to work with, from start to finish. The installers did a fantastic job and a shout out for moving the pieces of furniture I couldn't move on my own ( I emptied the heavy pieces and the installers moved them). I wouldn't have known anyone had been in the house the clean up was so good. The carpet is luxurious, there is no other word for it.The most important thing? We received incredible value for what we paid. I would not hesitate to tell anyone needing flooring or carpet to go to American Carpet. If you go anywhere else, you are settling for second best.

I had a wonderful experience with American Carpet. Hossein, the owner, helped me every step of the way. I replaced the carpet in my townhouse along with my kitchen floor. There was a large selection of brands and colors to choose from. After listening to what I told him I wanted in my kitchen, he suggested the floating floor. I showed him samples of my backsplash and appliances and he also helped me with the color. I couldn't be happier. The price was very reasonable and there was hardly any wait time for the products to arrive. He also stopped by to check on the job and to make sure everything was going as planned. He had a very experienced team to install both products and the jobs were done in no time. I also found out that he sells blinds. Everything you need all in one place. Hossein made the experience very enjoyable. Thank you!!!

Hossein and his team provided exceptional service during our renovation project. They needed to coordinate with another subcontractor and everything worked out very well. The luxury vinyl plank flooring looks terrific in our condo. Very happy that we selected American Carpet to do this work for us.

Good people. Nice selection. I only bought remnants from American Carpet, but they treated me like i was buying carpet for an entire house. They also showed their many years of experience when cutting my carpet into runners. They knew how to match the patterns perfectly, which I would have never thought about had they not asked the right questions. They have better prices and service than the big boxes, too. I am going to see these guys when it's time for new carpeting in my house.

I have used American Carpet and Floor several times and I have always been pleased with their work. Hossein is always helpful, knowledgeable and professional. He gives you options to best fit your needs. The carpet people did a great job with installation and Abbas that puts in the wood floor, did a great job. When there is a challenge in the job, he will figure it out. He is always polite and professional. I will use American Carpet for my next project.

American Carpet did an amazing job installing my flooring! I could not be happier. Abbas did the install and he was very meticulous and took his time to get it done just right! My floors look gorgeous. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Well done carpet install.Quality work in a reasonably short time. We have used then twice now, and we have been very satisfied both times.Fair pricing and quality installation. We will definitely hire them to service our hardwood floor when we are ready to sell.

Hossein was professional in every way. We made a quick decision, he measured and a week later our carpet was installed so we could move into our new home. Hossein was respectful, timely and paid attention to details at every step of the process. We will definitely use them again!

Absolutely perfect. Hussain, at the shop, helped us select exactly the color, type, and style of the wood floors we were looking for. The wood was delivered a week before the job started. The crew was top notch. They arrived on time in the morning, and worked well into the evening. They had to move and replace furniture at completion. What was thought to maybe require 2 days only took one 12 hr day. They were very neat and cleaned up after the work. Hussain has carpeted other rooms in our house in past, as well as our children’s homes for many years. He is quite a knowledgeable, professional and polite man. We would absolutely recommend this company again for any flooring needs.

We noticed some water damage on our brand new carpet in our newly purchased home and were definitely feeling a bit bummed. We needed to pull back the carpet to see where the water was coming from, but weren't sure how to go about it. I called a few places and was so lucky to have Hossein pick up at American Carpet & Flooring. He was so kind to walk me through how to pull up the carpet and get rid of the water logged padding. I was feeling beyond discouraged before our call and felt empowered and like everything would be all right after! We ended up finding the source of the water (leaking HVAC), drying everything, and then Hossein sent a team to replace the padding and relay the carpet. All in all a fantastic experience. Thank you!
