I took three bikes in for my triplet daughters, and Al’s Bike Shop did an incredible job. Al replaced the tires, brakes, bells, and even the chains, giving each bike a full tune-up. The friendly service here is leagues above other shops I’ve visited. Al took the time to explain everything he was doing and made sure the bikes were in perfect condition for my kids. If you’re looking for a place with top-notch service and attention to detail, Al’s Bike Shop in the Herndon Clocktower is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Took my son’s bike in and they were able to fix what another bike couldn’t. Also got new tires and chain where the other bike shop didn’t let in know that needed to be replaced. The staff was very friendly and explained things in detail. Would highly recommend. I’ll taking my bike there soon.

Al’s have very competent staff who found a problem with my Specialized E-bike in 1 day and got it in the road 4 days later, after receiving a part. Conte’s Bike Shop in Vienna had had the bike for 12 weeks and had not discovered, much less solved the problem. If you have a problem, Al’s is the place to go. Additionally, there service rates are very reasonable.

Great shop. I went to get a tune on my bike and the staff were super friendly and Al even helped me out on bike rack recommendations. They have a good selection of bikes and are willing to work with you on what exactly you need.

We’ve been long-time customers of Al’s (formerly A-1) and have purchased three bicycles here over the years (one used, two new). We love that they offer a lifetime promise for adjustments package - just got my inner tube fixed, and they did an adjustment of my brakes for free.
For our most recent bike purchase, we were weighing up options between here and The Bike Lane for a versatile hybrid. Even though we would’ve saved some money going to The Bike Lane (the model we were looking at was $130 cheaper), we felt much more welcome at Al’s. Roy was great at answering all questions regarding our needs, including replacement seats, lumens in lights, and security features. They did a great job helping us find the perfect bike, and we wanted to support this store - both with the new bike purchase and with future fixes as they arise. Thank you, Roy!

Staff was friendly and greeted me as I walked in. They quickly assessed my situation (rear wheel axel) and They didnt know if they were going to be able to assist me or fix, as the TECH LEAD was not in. I asked if they had a 700 rear wheel so I can get on my way and back to riding this long weekend. They didnt have it in stock and would have to be ordered and delivery is 1-2 weeks. Even though they weren't able to assist me in fixing my problem or had what I needed in stock, the store was clean and they had plenty of bikes in stock.
