This place is very unprofessional and poor customer service . I have been trying to get a necessary prescription for my three months old daughter for darn near two months and was unable to get it . Everytime they enter in her information it would come back rejected guess do not accept Medicaid . Received a letter from Sentara Community plan saying it is covered and no authorization is needed . On today May 8th my Daughters GI receptionist calls and tells her unable to take the prescription. Did tell her I could pay out of pocket for which is a no go when we have Medicaid to cover it . I am not sure what is going on with this company but such a huge let down and disappointment basically given the run around . I did my part calling Sentara Medicaid and still unable to get my Daughter Medication who suffers from Acid Reflex. I am a single Mother and unable to afford $60 some dollars a month due to being main provider of my household . Why pay out of pocket when Medicaid is saying they will cover it ?

Excellent customer service! I needed a specific compounded prescription for my ear, and they were able to fulfill what I needed. The actual store is clean, well-kept, and organized.

South River Compounding Pharmacy is easy to find in a well-lit shopping center with plenty of parking. The staff is amiable and accommodating anytime you are looking for specific supplements. We love that their supplements are natural and well-researched and that this company is working to help empower people with information about health. Their webinars and YouTube videos are amazingly informative and FREE. They do offer paid consultations, which are very expensive, but totally worth it to do at least once if you need the information. We also love the wealth of information we get from the pharmacists and the focus on natural health, when possible. It's the only way to truly know what EXACTLY is in your medication, especially if you need something dye-free, preservative-free, alcohol-free, and/or sugar-free, or you have any type of allergy to medication ingredients. SRRx also offers nutritional counseling and weight loss programs.Keep in mind, making prescriptions from scratch DOES take time, so get your Rx in ASAP. It's not like retail Rx where they transfer premade pills from one bottle to the other in less than twenty minutes. They usually need 1-2 BUSINESS days to get a prescription ready.IMHO, this should be where you get all of your supplements and compounded medications!

Megan was extremely rude! I waited 5 business days for a refill on my cats prescription and when I called to inquire about it's status, I was told that every time I interrupt it takes them 20 minutes to get back to what they were doing. I had two charges for the prescription before it even got filled so I called back and spoke to the pharmacist. She told me one should be a refund and she would mail me the receipt. I just received the receipt and see the comment "patient impatient and called vet to cancel" printed on it. My vet simply moved my prescription to a different pharmacy that got it filled within hours and saved me $20. I'm sorry my cat went without important medication for 5 days because of this sorry place. Avoid this place and find a pharmacy that wants your business!

wow. such a pleasant surprise in this day and age to have business that not only does what they say they are going to do - they fill your prescription in a timely matter and let you know its ready. why cant all pharmacies be like this???

I have been buying my supplements from here for about 5 years. I love the South River brand as well as some of the others. I know I’m going to get quality supplements with pure ingredients and no unnecessary fillers. That means a lot to me. I also get help from the staff who can explain to me the differences between particular vitamins/minerals or why one is used for something and another is not. I could go on and on about their knowledge base!! I really need that kind of help and I definitely get it from them.

Baylor is wonderful to work with and his assistant Allison is the best. She is helpful every step of the way. She is very respectful of your needs and tries her best to accommodate them in a time sensitive manner. I cannot say enough good things about my experience here. Excellent service all the way!
