About two months ago, I had a minor car accident on our property in Virginia. I contacted our Progressive agent, Ms. Amy Taylor, to discuss the process to make a claim and repair the car. To my surprise, Ms. Taylor took the information over the phone, provided me with the name of a body shop (i.e. Lindsay's Auto Body & Paint, 8715 Oakview Ave, Richmond, VA 23228) that was authorized by Progressive to make estimates and make the repairs, and arranged for a rental car for the time that the car was being repaired. All of this was done with only two calls to Ms. Taylor at Progressive!On the scheduled day, I dropped off my car at Lindsay's and they contacted the rental agency to pick-me up to get my rental car. Later the same day, Lindsay's called me with reasonable cost and time estimate. Lindsay's repaired and returned the car earlier than their initial time estimate. The overall car looked great and the repairs were fantastic. As an added extra, Lindsay's guarantees their repairs for as long as the owner at the time of repair owns the car!As a side note, Lindsay's is a real family business! Dad, Ricky, is an owner and works throughout the shop. His wife, Pam, is an owner and works in the office. His wife's sister, Angie, works in the office. His daughter works in the office. His son works in the body shop. Two other male relatives work in the shop. There may be others of whom I am unaware! Everyone seems to get along and seem to enjoy their jobs. There are buckets of gum, fireballs, and other candies available for their staff and their customers. Various memorabilia adorn the walls. All in all, Lindsay's Auto Body & Paint is a great business with a great staff, fair prices, and excellent work!

Someone crashed into my car so insurance referred this location. Everyone I encountered was very nice but timing was horrible (due to manning but still) and my car was not 100% fixed. My low tire light remains illuminated, obviously due to the crash, I took it back. They were aware of it but said there was nothing they could do unless I put in another claim with my insurance.?? That's on them with the additional supplement to pay for things to get fixed not on the original estimate...So anyone who knows dealing with the insurance is a scam in this way, so now I have to ride around with an error light that should have been fixed.

I had an insurance claim here repair here. It took a short time for the repairs to be be completed. Unfortunately when I got my car bad it reeked of bad body odor and cigarettes as if someone had been sleeping in my car. I mentioned it to the staff members and they swore that none of the shop workers smoked which means they left my doors open and someone or a vagrant slept in my vehicle and smoked 20 cigarettes while in it. The shop did not take accountability and pretty much told me I was wrong as if they would have known. I will say that my door was open when I arrived to take possession of my vehicle so they really wouldn't have been able to assure me of this.

This body shop accepted the responsibility to repair the fender ****** that was assigned by GEICO with an estimated completion of 5 days and details of work estimates. Car was dropped off on Nov. 28. Since then, I have been in contact with the shop (*** and *****) on the update and status of completion. Have been promised that the car is being painted and and after washing that I will be contacted. This conversation happened since Dec. 13 and up to this time I have not heard about the status of when the car will be completed and released. I have extended the rental car agreement with Enterprise as GEICO did not extend the rental agreement. I called the shop last Friday, 12/23 at 3:00 but they did not pick up the phone nor return my call. I called yesterday and and this morning before 9:00 and again they seem to avoided my call and left a message, to find out the status of the repair. I am torn in between the feud of the agency and the shop. GEICO is not taking responsibility nor accountability for the delays in the complete repair of my car. From the estimated 5 days of repair, it is now 5 weeks and it is totally unacceptable. I want the BBB to follow up and investigate if possible with the business. Each party is blaming each other for the delays. I have never imagine that this repair would have cost my time, frustrations and money due to somebody's inability to fulfill the agreement. The receptionists Pam and Angie are incredibly polite, kind, and helpful. However this shop has had my car for more than a month and a half rebuilding the front quarter panel after a hit-and-run. I needed to travel for both Thanksgiving and a tattoo this week and told them about it in advance. But now I may not just be be missing both, I'm also losing my deposit. Though this repair is being paid by my insurance, they've unintentionally become incredibly expensive. Needless to say I'm pretty upset.

I was lied to and never updated on my cars work needed for 2 years. I'm sure not everyone has this kind of experience. I could see how others find them genuine and good people. It's very disappointing that I was given the run around about my vehicle. When it could have just been honestly explained and I would have understood. Work was only completed on my vehicle when I would call about it. Other than those times it would be pushed off for other cars to come in and out of their lot.

Between parts issues and supply chain issues it took just shy of 6 months to get my truck back. At first glance it looks great. I immediately had to travel out of state with it and now that I've had time to look at it, the bumper on the driver's side is 3/8" higher than the pass passenger side. Also, and more concerning is the left front wheel is pushed 1" further back in the wheel well than the right side. It took me less than a minute to look under the truck and find a bent part. NOT happy!

Great service. Fully expected my car to be in the shop for at least a month but got a call only a week after dropping it off saying it was ready. Hope to not have any reason to go back, but if I ever did I would absolutely give my business to these folks. Amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about this company! I had to have parts on my car replaced and they worked everything out with my insurance company and did everything they could to get my car back to me ASAP. I felt genuinely cared for here and not at all like they were trying to rip me off in any way. The whole team is absolutely wonderful and the owner made sure that I had arrangements made while they had my car for a few days. I HIGHLY recommend Lindsay's to anyone looking for a car place in the Richmond area!
