Schedule online for 11am appointment...show up salon not open, lights off & no one in sight. Call & left a vm. Not good practice to waste someone's time, at least call & make up something.

She did a great job and took care of my mom. Called us when she was done.

Thrilled with my experience at Layers with Lakyn and the team. I've been super nervous about an upcoming job interview and really wanted an updated style. I was so impressed with how Lakyn listened and followed through with my goals. This is a very convenient salon at Regency Square, very calming and modern vibe, lots of customers, convenient hours that include the weekend. Definitely recommend!

I got my hair done with my mom and sister, and we all loved our stylists Hailey, Lakyn, and Sherlyn!! Hailey was so sweet and professional, and incredibly helpful in giving me guidance on what would look good and work for me. She nailed my cut and styling. Loved the atmosphere and people…would 100% come back!!!
Stylist: Hailey was AMAZING!! Loved her and everything she did to my hair. Totally going to see her again!

i had such a wonderful experience at this salon!! it was my first time going into to dye my hair EVER and the staff was so kind and patient. Tracy did an AMAZING job with my hair, and you could tell this is really an art for her! The next day I felt as if I wanted it to be a little bit darker for longevity and they allowed me to come in to get it done. They made sure that I was happy with my hair before I left as well. The owners are so sweet as well! Highly recommend! :)

Requested style: Today was my first time at this salon! I honestly choose this salon because of how nice the website was and how easy it was to set an appointment. I could tell it would be great just from that alone. The salon is a whole vibe of nice,unique, and positive people. They are very transparent with their prices too which I greatly appreciate.
I had choose a specific style due to my hair type and i was happy customer on the end.
It was wonderful experince overall and i would highly recommend to everyone.

I was in the area for a visit and decided to get my hair cut. I’m so glad I went to Layers. Tracy did an excellent job cutting my long hair. I was a bit nervous at first , not having had my hair cut for nearly five years. Tracy did a wonderful job shampooing , conditioning and styling my hair to the length I wanted it. I would highly recommend this salon and Tracy.

Rhett and the other staff members are always curtious, helpful and accommodating. Rhett was particularly helpful when I asked for a very specific time to accommodate a family crisis. Thank you, all.

I travel an hour to have my hair cut here by Rhett. He does an amazing job and the salon is a very calm, clean and pleasant place to be. Highly recommend!

Honestly, I thank my previous salon that they were overbooked so that I was able to find Layers salon under 'Best Salon in Richmond,VA' search.
Luckily I was able to get an appointment with Emili. She was a darling and made my experience amazing!
I was a little nervous given the switch of salon but I was so happy and in love with my new look while leaving!
The staff and owner's humility was like an added bonus.
Thank you all so much for making my hair appointment an enjoyable experience!
Can't wait to visit again!

After a year and a half of cutting and coloring my own medium to long length hair I decided to get a professional “tuneup”
I explored local salons prices and appointment availability deciding to try a walk-in only facility~ this effort took a month without walking in to anything “open”
I checked 2 salons online that I’ve been to in the past and needed to call to see who was working/taking appointments. Then I came across Layers~ the photos of the interior looked upscale, the reviews I read were all positive, the detailed information and photos of the stylists were interesting~ I could peruse each person’s specialty’s and specific available times…. Including evenings, Saturdays and Sundays….I was able to make a Saturday afternoon appointment with Lakyn on the Thursday prior, right online~
The owners/management welcomed me when I arrived and basically walked people to the door as they left~ Lakyn is young pretty and sweet and confident about her talent.
Conversation was easy and down to earth as I sensed it was with most people working there~ She was very specific about what she would like to do with my color and cut and I couldn’t be happier~ Prices are clearly broken down and I feel are market fair or better~ I’m not a salon patron because I like sitting in front of a mirror for an hour although the lighting seemed to favor the client…. definitely appreciated that!!
I look forward to going back! It was a great experience and atmosphere ?
