Since joining i have noticed Taylor going through-out the facility constantly wiping the equipment down keeping them sanitized. Outstanding! I truly appreciate what she does.

On the heels of Patty's review, I've been a member for several years and was OK paying $9.99 monthly... it's not worth more than that due to many factors, including the lack of maintenance on machines. The recent increase in the monthly charge without any notice is one of the worst CX strategies you could implement. While it was "only $7", for some who are on a monthly budget and trying to simply incorporate exercise into a healthy lifestyle, that's a lunch/dinner. It's not uncommon knowledge to know that gyms make more off of those who don't go to the gym vs those who use the equipment daily. The business practices of the owners of the Glenside facility resulted in me canceling my membership. How many other customers saw this increase and simply ignored it... how many never saw it... they are literally banking on either of those situations outweighing those like me who cancel. I do want to thank the Asst GM - Deja for her professionalism and candor. She clearly understands the foundational elements of a great CX and shouldn't be put in a situation where she's having to explain the actions of the owners when zero notice was given. Fortunately a Planet Fitness is opening close by!

I’ve been to many Crunch locations all over the East Coast for years. I usually love Crunch, but this is the worst one we’ve ever visited. Our mistake was coming to this location compared to others in the area. My boyfriend and I love checking out new gyms in local areas so we don’t mind paying for day passes. The day pass for this location was $25 per person, which is average; we’ve paid $30+ for day passes at other gyms.
What disappointed us the most was how this location was maintained. It’s very old, and the equipment is either rundown or broken. The inside was quite messy, and they don’t even have a sauna. All the other Crunch locations I’ve visited at least had a sauna. The restrooms were dirty as well. I’m just trying to figure out where the money is going to because it doesn’t look like it’s going towards equipment or making sure the gym is straightened out. Also, they only have two squat racks with the platform which is tucked in the corner. I wish we would’ve toured the gym first before wasting our money - considering this was our first time at this location. The only positive aspect of our experience was that the staff was nice.

Despite some billing issues and misunderstandings, the regional manager Matt was able to assist me and fix an issue I was having. I am very appreciative of this and it speaks to the experiences I have had at Crunch over the past 5 years. He reached out to me via phone, not e-mail, which was much more personal, listened to my issue and resolved it. When I return to Richmond, I will be rejoining Crunch. His reach out to me was what made my mind up to do so. Thank you Matt and thank you Crunch.
