I gave them a call because I had a concern about a strange noise coming from the driver's side front wheel. They were very thorough in trying to figure out what it was they fixed it and I am very grateful!! And my required VA safety test as well.
They were very professional, and happy to answer any questions. And even though they did not have shuttle service in the pouring rain they took me home and brought my vehicle back after they fixed it and I really appreciate that kind of attention to detail.
Not only will I returned as a customer but anyone in need of Mechanical Services I would definitely send them there.
* As always the staff are amazing and always take care of me * Phenomenal

They completed the work which earned the one star I’m awarding. They under estimated the original job because they were not aware of the correct fluid that was required. The cost of that mistake was passed on to me. They did not originally did not disclose that they did not have all the necessary tools to complete the job, which necessitated them outsourcing to another shop. They did not actively communicate otherwise understandable delays, which created unnecessary tension and confusion. When I got my vehicle back it smelled like they had been smoking in it for the three weeks they had my car for the repairs. When we called to confront them they attempted to shift the blame to Piedmont Tire and Auto, who had the car for one workday day to complete the portion of the job that they were not equipped to complete.
Perhaps the cynical signs all through the workspace making jokes about poor customer service practices aren’t in jest, but instead represent company policy.

Excellent communication repair for a multiple phase repair that included replacing a starter and an alternator on a vehicle with almost 240k miles.

Ok I and my wife have been loyal customers for the past few years. Always best customer service and all done in timely fashion. Took my my car in last week would not start after I tried doing my backyard mechanic stuff. Thought I messed up everything and finally decided I can't fix it and took it Fred and his family. To fix. Thinking the worst was surprised it was the least what a quick fix. And cost no where what I was expecting. This family business is that place to take your car. I mean that

Haymarket Motors has just gained a new customer. Dawn friendly and pleasant from our first encounter on the phone to greeeting me when dropping my car off. Customer service 5 stars. Don 1 of the 2 mechanics that works @ the garage was knowledgeable, polite and honest. He immediately addressed my concerns and provided me with a remedy and a quote. Turn around time and price fair not crazy as other garages in the area. Location is a bit tricky it's hidden behind Piedmont tires. The next time you are in need Haymarket Motors will not disappoint. Mike the other mechanic also friendly and knowledgeable and Alex his female yellow lab joins him at work, addition to the positive vibe of the shop. Thank you all!!Service: Steering & suspension replacement

I paid close to a $1,000 to have two front struts replaced on a 2013 Scion and I brought the new replacement struts! Have worked on cars for over 50 years and I know how much work is involved and had recently replaced the cars rear struts. The issue was I couldn't get the front lower control link unbolted (rusted) so turned it over to the professionals in Haymarket Motors and explained the problem. I used them only because they would use my new replacement parts. They appear to have done a decent job. However the price for replacing these struts was excessive IMO even including the additional repairs. Also, make sure to get a written quote in advance before you commit.

Haymarket Motors got my vehicle in quickly, did everything I asked for a fair price, and had the vehicle back to me the same day. I will not hesitate to drive past other shops in the areas to do business with this local small business in the future.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Picture this for me; it's Thursday at 6 pm and you are an hour into your 3 hour commute home from working in the office for 3 days and you are rushing home to see your 2 and 3 years olds who have been missing their dad for 3 days now, only to hear a loud POP like a cork and thinking youll need to spend the night on the side of the road, get a ridiculously priced taxi, and miss out on seeing your family that night. I made some local calls to shops to be turned down and to "come in at 730 am when my mechanic comes back."I make a call to Haymarket Motors, told them i may have blown a spark plug and understand they close in 1 hour. They told me to swing by and that they would have a look anyway. I pulled in and they were ready and waiting and wasted no time diagnosing and finding a quick fix on a loosened/unfastened turbo tube. Within less than 5 minutes, this team of angels allowed me in their door, performed a quality assessment, and refused cash from me for such a simple fix. Meanwhile, this is 45 minutes before closing at this point and having already been turned down elsewhere. I cannot recommend this team and shop enough. Hands down, best quality human services and top-notch people in general.Thank you for being great human beings <3- Guy with Red Ford FocusService: Engine repair

After getting an incorrect and very costly diagnosis and estimate from another garage, we brought a car here and "Team Fred" figured out the garage that gave the estimate used the wrong oil in the car's differential. They changed the differential oil (put in by the other guys) and used the GM specified limited slip formula and voila! problem solved. And solved for less than 1/10th of the other garage's estimate to replace a differential with less than 70K miles (highway miles) on it. The parking lot makes you go "hmm..." but the people are solid and the work is same. Fred's been in business some crazy 50+ years so ... nuf said. (Hi Fred: Go Army, Beat Navy!)
