September 6th went to Kroger in Hayes, VA. Went to the cold case to left of fried chicken warmer for some soups and pasta salad. I've never seen so many expired or next day expiring items. Need to give the cases a good clean out.

Kroger is a great grocery store to shop at. It’s clean and well organized, making it easy to find everything you need. The prices are very reasonable, which helps keep grocery bills manageable. The staff is friendly and always willing to help if you have questions or need assistance. Overall, it’s a reliable place for everyday shopping.

Deli department was disgusting. Shelving for take out chicken was filthy, covered in yesterday’s juices/blood at 11am. Self-serve deli meat bins were dirty full of random debris.

Heard that new management had made the store better. Our experience this afternoon was not good. We decided to pick up a few things for dinner. Tried to get assistance at the fish counter. The employee told us he was on break and we needed to wait 30 minutes. So no one is covering departments when someone is on break? Tried discussing it with customer service. No luck. Just stared at me. We should have stopped somewhere else before we crossed the bridge.

Tried to call twice- no answer.
Today, as I was leaving the store around 5:45 there was a male and a female under some sort of organization tent. While walking by the male asked if I would come talk to him about something and I said no thank you. He proceeded to yell at me as I crossed into the parking lot telling me that I guess I don’t care about children and I’ll help some other time.
I’m surprised Kroger would let an organization such as this one, sit outside their establishment and speak to their customers this way. I will not be back, I will trek across the bridge over to the Yorktown Kroger to feel safe and not uncomfortable.

Not sure they know the definition of fillet. Bought a salmon fillet from the seafood department and it was loaded with pin bones. Luckily I checked. This was dinner for the dogs. They should have stated it wasn't a true fillet. This one incident is huge and may be the only reason I need to never support them again.

Staff is very friendly, but this store is always running low on very basic items. The produce section is always picked over and what little produce is left, is rotten. I have stopped buying produce here all together because it’s never good. I’ve gone in store to shop and since having a baby, do the curbside pickup. I’ve had my curbside order canceled on two separate occasions because the store was sold out of 90% of my order. We don’t purchase anything special, typical milk, potato chips, etc. I only gave this store two stars because the staff is always kind and helpful, but recently I’ve had to start shopping at Walmart again which really stinks because we love the fuel points from Kroger.
