Chesapeake Marine Training Institute is an awesome school with great people and excellent instructors. It offers courses for licenses like the 200 ton mate of towing. Students report an excellent experience, praising the small class sizes and relevant material. The school accepts veteran benefits and is highly recommended over other academies. A downside is the current lack of engineer courses. Some students caution against a nearby hotel, unrelated to the school itself. Many plan to take more classes and would not consider attending any other school.

Had an excellent experience with the course and staff at CMTI, I would recommend it to anyone. I will however caution anyone against staying at the Hampton Inn in Gloucester. They charged me hundreds of dollars for smoking in the hotel room, which I did not do.

Done all my school work there to obtain my 200 ton mate of towing. Great school with great people! I won't even think of attending any other school

Taken two courses so far and plan to take even more. Awesome school and small class sizes. Instructors are awesome and best part is they take veteran benefits. Only downside is that they do not have any engineer courses at this time but they still have some courses that you need. Highly recommended over Mid Atlantic Maritime...
