I have been calling Whitmer’s since 8am when they open, it’s 9:07am and I have yet to get anyone to pick up the phone. Not quite sure how you can run a business but don’t answer the phone! Terrible!!!

Absolutely the best customer service I have ever received. The heating system in my vehicle went out in the middle of snow storm. I informed them that I was only going to be in town for about 2 days, and asked them if they were able to help. They were able to immediately service my vehicle and get it back to me. I am extremely grateful for their hard work and dedication. I am from Northern Virginia and I would rather make the 2hr trip down here to get my vehicle fixed than get it done close to home. Exceptionally job.

Have only been here twice but both times felt like a total rip off. The staff are certainly friendly, but the business as a whole does not strike me as trustworthy or competent. I went to them for my inspection a few years ago and they told me I needed work done that would cost around $700 in order to pass. I took my car to another mechanic further away, someone trusted by a family member, who said whatever Whitmer's claimed needed fixing was perfectly fine, and he passed me without a problem. Recently took my car in to get a flat tire fixed in the afternoon and they charged me $40 for apparently fixing it, but after only driving a few miles home and then not driving it the rest of the day, it was completely flat again by the morning. So I payed them money for nothing. The people are kind enough, but the work seems lousy and not worth the money.

Their office is smelly and it has a horrifying and somewhat offensive giant American Indian (Native American) mannequin right at the front to greet you. The people are nice enough. But I can’t say I had good experiences with their actual services. They work with Way2Go which is nice, it’s a local charity organization. I received a car from Way2Go and they told me that Whitmer’s had checked out the car, made all necessary repairs, checked it out and it was perfectly road ready. Just go to Whitmers to pick it up. I showed up to pick it up and the car could barely even make it up the hill back to my house. I took the car back in the next day and they said “oh shoot it needs a new transmission, that’ll be $3000.”
Excuse me what? This was supposed to be a free charity car that you had supposedly given a clean bill of health just a day ago.
Luckily I was able to work with Way2Go to get a replacement. But it really makes me question their work.
