“I love visiting new cities. I plan accordingly for the weather, time allotted me, and of course the must-see spots to visit. Upon my maiden voyage to Harrisonburg though, I arrived without a map. I knew lodging was within a block of downtown so I decided to "wing it." One of the first spots to show up via Yelp was the downtown Market. I discovered it by proxy when I walked into Broad Porch Coffee that first morning. It was a "oh, it's inside Agora" moment. It was akin to going on a first date and learning they love dogs as much as you do. I ordered my pour over and began exploring, from the front door forward. Lineage had my attention immediately, as they carry Upstate Stock beanies and National Park items. Graphic tees, candles, and a plethora of items I won't bog you down with (just go see for yourself). Then a toy section, local artist, antique space, and more. Honestly, everything you need for holiday shopping or just treat yourself shopping. All under one roof and completely free flowing between shops and with Broad Porch. So yes, you can sip your latte and shop. I love makerspaces overall, but more so when they use what would be an unutilized downtown building. I can't wait to return each and every time I am in Harrisonburg.”

“Excellent toy store, lots of options, toys are accessible and there's enough room for children to try open items out. Children might enjoy the lever-operated manual excavator in the left corner. Great selection of plush toys, Schleich animal figurines, and pullback toy cars and trucks, among many other things.”

“Really cute, eclectic store! Small parking lot with maybe about five spots right next to it. A lot of Knick knacks, gag gifts, glass and ceramics, Halloween decor, and much more. They are only open MWF, so I do recommend they change their online hours to reflect that. Other than that, it’s a nice find with some reasonably priced goods!”

“Not my first dance with Ollies' I've lived in several states where they have establishments. LOVE Ollies in general. Be prepared to be overwhelmed and have a LOT to look at, bring your LIST. You can't be sure they will have it, but if they do it'll be cheaper than anywhere else. It's our regular stop for things like (shelf stable) cereal, snacks, dog food, and cleaning items. Also great for housewares, as we had a lot to replace after our move. Stay focused! It's not easy surrounded with bargains! They have both off brands and main brands of products. I'm fussy about some, not so fussy about others. I would say if you had to furnish a student apartment in a weekend you could do most of it here without going broke.”
