I was happy when you moved out to West Market St. Now you are closer to my house.
I like RF because it is the fabric store with the most variety. I'm a quilter, so I usually concentrate on the wide variety of quilting cottons and notions. But, I'm also a garment maker. You have t-shirt knits and sportswear to fancy party fabrics. I'm impressed you also have leather and craft supplies.
The staff are attentive and creative. Classes are available especially for kids. We might attend one when they come for a weekend.
There is not a Jo-Annes in Harrisonburg, so it is nice to have a store with discount prices.
Sometimes when I need a little inspiration, I stop by.

I had a private lesson today with Kathy and it was a fantastic experience! Everyone was welcoming and kind, and Kathy was a fantastic teacher. I had not bought my machine at Ragtime but i will be buying my next one there! Awesome!

The employees are the best, make you feel at ease, can help with projects your working on, and they know the products in the store. My #1 go to sewing/fabric store.

Spoke with Kathy at RagTime & visited with her on my issue: need the link for RagTime scissors (watched video?). She searched, but couldn't find it; will message IT-guy (maybe, Matthew on that video?) to get the link to email & text it to me!! I'm SUPER impressed with y'all's community, friendliness, helpfulness...cannot give high enuf PRAISE?. I'd love it if anyone there would call me back (I'd put my phone#, but suspect it'd get in the wrong hands...). However, Kathy does have it if you'd like to follow-up with me❣️
It's 12:19pm now, April 27th and that call was within a half hour, about.

I love the mix of this shop. From real leather yardage and pieces to use for bag making and embellishments, garment making fabrics & patterns, to quilting cottons and all the notions - this shop has everything a sewist desires. Very fun to walk around and find treasures and deals in the hidden corners of the well stocked shop.
