Puppy City LLC
1790 E Market St Ste 132, HarrisonburgWe made numerous trips/visits to both the Harrisonburg and Winchester locations. We traveled over three hours to honor this establishment due to the professional and responsible care of their puppies and cleanliness of their facilities. We finally found a great fit for our family. Every time we visited, the staff was friendly, pens were clean, and all puppies were well taken care of, with water and food readily available in the puppies cages. Our purchase was a great experience and the staff and management went above and beyond to make sure our puppy was healthy and was going to a good home. It was a pleasant surprise to also receive the many after purchase care items, including pet insurance, free vet check, microchip, cage/toy/food, education, etc., Our puppy was vet checked, had all vaccines, and was well socialized. We had a great experience and recommend this establishment for your puppy selection. They care more than for the immediate sell of the puppy.

Sylvia's Pets
226 University Blvd, HarrisonburgHarrisonburg is so lucky to have a locally owned pet store like Sylvia's. Jeff is the LFS guru every aquarist needs; he always stocks cool fish the big box stores don't carry (especially for my nano tanks), and he and Skyler are both incredibly knowledge. I love doing business here and I hope you will too.

Harrisonburg Animal Hospital
1611 N Liberty St, HarrisonburgI CAN’T BELIEVE I HAVEN’T DONE A GOOGLE REVIEW YET!!! Harrisonburg Animal Hospital is PHENOMENAL!!! In the well over a decade we have worked with HAH, they have been critical to our cats living PERIOD and secondly living healthy, fulfilling lives. Dr. Ward, Dr. Nelson, countless INCREDIBLE Vet Techs have literally saved more than one of their lives and given us borrowed time with our fur-children. A HUGE nod to the masterminds at the front desk for ALL that they do to keep things running smoothly. Even the folks who keep the place clean get our appreciation. Time and time again they all have come to care for our babies in a manner that is like they would treat their own animals. They are professional, intelligent, highly-skilled, efficient, thoughtful, loving and go above and beyond OVER AND OVER again. We absolutely adore all of them and continue to recommend HAH any chance we get. Our pets and us are SO fortunate to be able to rely on all of them from the easy things to the hardest. We just can’t thank them or recommend them enough.

Valley Vets: Strickland Vicky DVM
498 University Blvd suite a, HarrisonburgWe had an very nice boarding experience last weekend. The staff there, Kaitlyn and Callie, when we picked the dogs (8 years and 13 years old) up, were great! Callie gave us lots of information on how the dogs behaved while they were there. She complimented them and even paid special attention to the 13 year old to be sure he ate his supplements. Thank you so much for your great care. If we are down that way again, we will be sure to board with you. Best regards, E. G.

Sage Bird Ciderworks
325 N Liberty St, HarrisonburgSage Bird Ciderworks is a tremendous cidery and one that I highly recommend visiting if you are in Harrisonburg. I have been to a few cideries in the region, Big Fish, Angry Orchard, and Old Hill. But Sage Bird has easily become my favorite. For it's diversity in options, affordable drinks, and excellent food offered by Outskirts. Summer, an employee at Outskirts, made excellent recommendations on the food they provide (their loaded fries were awesome), drinks that would accompany the food, as well as helping us figure out the subscription plans offered by Sage Bird. The terrific drinking experience, as well as the exceptional service by employees that made our experience at Sage a great one. I fully intend to come by Sage as often as I visit the Valley.
And I deeply appreciate Sage Brid's efforts to highlight the region as a whole and it's efforts to locally source ingrediants.

Branch's Soft Serve Ice Cream Truck
54 S Main St, HarrisonburgVery cute and local food truck serving up soft serve. Surprised it has so few reviews. The man running the truck was super kind and happy to have us enjoy some ice cream. They seem to situate themselves in the parking lot between Taj of India and Jack Brown's downtown. The food is pretty cheap and delicious. Brownie was soft, warm, and decadent. Soft serve was light and creamy. Would definitely come back here again!

Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint Harrisonburg
80 S Main St, HarrisonburgLet me start with the last part first. This is a must stop location if ya love a great cheeseburger!
Probably the 2nd best burger this burger connoisseur has ever had in all of my travels, and that's saying something.
They use wagyu beef and a house special Jack Brown sauce. They do not add tomatoes and lettuce because it makes the meat all liquidy detracting from the taste of the beef.
The 1/4 lb burger was piping hot, which, if ya know me, is a requirement. The burger is served in a paper wrapper, which is a nice touch, and it is super delicious. All burgers are 1/4 lbers, and the bun is just the right size. The fries were good too. They have adult beverages, including some local craft brews.
The place's decor is very cool, but the parking diwntown is scarce, so unless you're lucky, ya might wanna just go to the nearby parking garage.
A must stop! A return stop!

Rockingham Harrisonburg SPCA
2170 Old Furnace Rd, HarrisonburgI volunteered and fostered here last summer and had an amazing experience! All the volunteers and staff were super helpful and welcoming and I had a great experience. I fostered (and then foster failed) a cat Lucy and had a great experience doing so. They provided me with litter, food, a cat bed, litter box, toys, etc with no cost! After two months I decided to adopt my 12 year old girl (now 13!) and it was great! I am so happy to have had this experience, especially being able to adopt Lucy. She is truly amazing ❤️
