After a few years of what many considered to be the worst pharmacy in Harrisonburg, I must say that over the past several months it has become our favorite again! My future spouse, who had transferred most of his numerous scrips to Walmart, for better service, recently transferred them back to Kroger. The line of disgruntled customers has disappeared; prescriptions are ready as promised; and the pharmacists and techs are caring, knowledgeable, trustworthy and polite.

Does not deserve even one star.My family member was 5 hours from home visiting Harrisonburg and had a medical situation and so we ended up at MedExpress. My friend in which (owns a Pharmacy locally) referred us to get his medicine there as it was a Saturday late afternoon *5:20pm* and the hours of Kroger Pharmacy was open until 6pm and within walking distance. Talking with the pharmacist at around 25 minutes till 6pm (also closing hour) the pharmacist was working alone and said he was closing early and would not be filling our much needed prescription. The level of professionalism and care for humanity was a bare minimum as this pharmacist was more interested in getting out of the working Oliver office and onto his weekend. I also tried calling both, the pharmacy and general line for the store with endless ringing. I will be sharing this with several of my friends that own pharmacies and making sure all local residents yield from any RX transactions with “the friendly City” Kroger pharmacy. As Oliver Anthony says, “it’s a shame..”

The tech that was working on Saturday dec 17 her name was Mary , was so rude and had an attitude because she thought she could tell my mother how to take her meds when my mother has been taking them for years. Number 2 Mary lied to us and told my mother one of her prescriptions was a 90 day supply when it wasn’t. Then asked for an id for the same medication the pharmacist then corrected her and told her she didn’t need to see the id so Mary threw it over the counter at my mother instead of handing it to her. If that that’s the kind of people you have working there it’s no wonder why you guys suck. Mary needs to be fired immediately, you don’t throw things at customers.

Kroger pharmacy is getting worst day by day. You will never get your medicine on time. With one employee Kroger run there pharmacy. Every time you go for pickup you see a long line for pickup and wait almost more then an hour or more, at the end your medicine is not ready. If you want to find out by phone no one is answer the phone ether.

Went from being the best pharmacy to being the worst. Absolutely avoid this place! It’s pointless to even try to get a rx here. Stood in line for nearly an hour and every person ahead of me walked out without their rx being ready. Seriously, they need to shut down because giving someone the idea they can get their meds and then they can’t is dangerous for a persons health. As bad as you can imagine it being, it’s worse than that!

This place needs to be shut down. Someone should sue them for a lot of money for the mental distress they cause.

Absolutely abysmal. I don’t blame the employees of the pharmacy as much as i blame Kroger management. I have multiple medications needed monthly, and this place has the WORST retention of qualified individuals to run its pharmacy, resulting in your medications not getting filled or incredibly long wait times.Do NOT use this pharmacy for any reason whatsoever. They have had incredible turn over - and have such a lack of staffing. Your phones will NOT be answered; you will wait in line for at least 20-30 minutes on a given day. I tried to ensure a refill was made for three days - and no one answered. Then, the lines were so long whenever I’d go to pick them up, that I’d have to leave and return to work.In addition, I will say that the employees must not know what they are required to do or don’t care. I needed pre auths for certain medications and they swore up and down that they did them. I went to my doctor the same day and not ONE call had been made.Again, blame the horrid company and management and less so on the employees. It is absolutely terrible and your health will be at risk. Do NOT use this pharmacy for any reason whatsoever.

I gave it one star because 0 isn’t an option. The pharmacist complained about doing her job to call CVS and have my prescription transferred per CVS policy. It’s been over a week and still hasn’t filled my prescription. I will be moving my prescriptions. Don’t waste your time.

I don't understand the bad reviews of this pharmacy. We have been using it for about ten years and have found it to be very satisfactory.

I just have to go on a little rant here... Firstly, please know that the shopping experience itself was fine. The cashier was quick and pleasant, the bagger was nice, the store was reasonably stocked, the lines such as they were moving along at a good pace. Everything was fine as far as the store shopping experience. I noticed while at the cashier, that there are little stickers for items that aren't bagged, like jugs of milk, what have you. It's just a little "You saved a bag! Yay!" type note on these stickers. Well, when I get home I'm starting to notice the items are... not carelessly bagged, but rather the bags are carelessly used if that makes sense. In the spirit of back to school season I decided to do a little scientific observation. I purchased 38 items today, and carried them into my house with 22 plastic bags. Using the calculator/phone in my pocket (take that, Mrs. Morrison!) I calculated that this comes out to 1.72727 etc items per bag. Having a 'use less plastic' campaign whilst putting 1-2 items per bag is worthy of its own essay on the use of irony for comedic purposes. Just be aware of what you're doing, both as employees and shoppers. This is my sign to start shopping with reusable bags.

The worst pharmacy I have ever used. My medication has never once been ready when I get there and I always call it in days prior to pickup. Staff is always clueless. Aside from having much cheaper prices than most other pharmacies, I would not recommend.
