It was a pleasure dealing with the sales staff. They were helpful & courteous. The owner is another matter; however. I had to speak with him about our delivery, and he was fairly unpleasant and rude to deal with. The House of Oak and Sofas would do well to keep him away from customers if you'd like them to make repeat purchases.

We (Ridwan and Mark) were planning to move to a new house and had decided to replace some of our furniture at the same time. We meet with both Merle and Bill who first listened to what was important to us then showed us furniture and rugs to use in our new house. Their recommendations were spot on. They also offered to hold the delivery until we moved to our new house. We were completely satisfied with the entire process including the delivery and set-up. The delivery team was very professional. We’ve been in our new house about two weeks and thoroughly enjoy our new furniture and rug. It all fits our needs and décor perfectly. We plan to use House of Oak and Sofa in the future.

We purchased two Flexsteel auto-recliners nearly three years ago. One developed mechanical problems. Flexsteel has a lifetime guarantee for mechanical repair on them. Merle set up a date & time for repair, Serviceman was on time courteous & competent. Parts were ordered and several weeks later he returned, took the chair to the shop, repaired it and returned it to our home the next mornings, as promised. We couldn’t ask for more. We are repeat customers over many years.

I searched a long time for a sectional sofa. The folks at house of Oak and sofas have the best selection of furniture, accessories and customer service. I highly recommend them. The owner actually delivered my sofa himself.

I am VERY dissatisfiedI made a very sizable purchase from them in early 2022. I was told that I'd have to wait 6 months for all the pieces to come in and final payment would be due upon delivery of the last item. I put 30% down at time of order. Several pieces came in randomly and they delivery them after I gave an additional 30% payment. My loveseat arrived damaged and a new part has to be ordered. It took probably two months or maybe longer for the repair piece to come in. When they delivered my final part, I paid the final amount by check. That's where it gets horrible. They lost my check and tried to call several times because they hadn't received payment but they never left a message stating why they were calling. I then received a letter stating I owed the final payment. I wrote back and told them I paid it and they would not have left the furniture without final payment. After about 4 weeks, I received a registered letter stating that they would report me to the credit reporting as not paying and that I was causing a "distraction" in an attempt to avoid final payment. They are lucky I didn't drive up there as I was very upset about that comment. I did check my bank account and the check I wrote them never cleared the bank, so, they lost it!!! I demanded an apology in my letter for the degrading comment that the president of the company wrote. We'll, he did call and apologize. I sent another check and this one has cleared the bank.My advice is go anywhere else to purchase furniture. These people are rude, inefficient, poor communicators, and, in my opinion, the quality of there products is no better than what you can purchase at Big Lotts!!! I'll NEVER step foot into this store again!

I called House of Oak and sofa today to see about a warranty on our Amish handmade table that I was told had a 5 year warranty. The lady answered the phone said she needed pictures and was not sending anyone out right now. She said she needed them for the warranty and she had to show the manager and see what he wanted to do. She also thought the order date was the delivery date which was an issue due to 8-9 months even getting the table that was suppose to take a quarter of the time less to get here. She also said it would take 10 days to even get a call back on an item that was purchased at their store with a warranty. Very bad service especially when I was told it wouldn't be a problem when we ordered from there. They got a 1 star because it took so long to get the table and chairs they finally did let us borrow some of theirs they had at the store back when we previously ordered. So I figured I owed them that.

We just returned from House of Oak and Sofas where we went to purchase a bed we found on their website. The 2 women behind the counter were helpful, the 2 men, including the owner, didn't even say hello. We were told the web prices are wrong, the bed was now more expensive. They had nothing to show us on the floor, so we will order online from someplace else. If you have nothing to show and incorrect pricing, what good is that to anyone?

Other than the incredible Stressless furniture, mostly boring "farmhouse" styles and colors. Salespeople leave you alone to browse.

I ordered a table with 4 counter height chairs and 3 bar stools from House of Oak in October had to put a deposit down at that time too. I was told at the time that everything would be in 3 months later. I waited 4 months and called back and was informed it would be another month out which would be now February which I was OK with at that time. I waited until March called back was informed it would be no later than the middle of April so again I was like OK so lets just say 1st of May. Now its May and called back again today was told by the lady that answered the phone that I will be called when it comes in. Now I am furious at this point. I feel like they just don't care even when I told her my issue she did not care and said they would call me back. I have not received a phone call and will not use House Of Oak again. I understand things are now delayed and have waited for things at Grand Furniture however they delivered everything already. I have ordered furniture in January from Ashley Furniture and all that will be here May 12. I have no problem waiting just not when I am told 3 month wait 4 then another and so on to be treated like I am the issue and the problem like the customer is the bother to them.
