This place is awful. Never return calls if you voice your concerns you are made to feel that you are the problem. I got a termination letter beening accused of verbally abusing staff because they would not answer my questions. The doctor was not any better. He was sending me home but my daughter took me straight to emergency room from leaving their office where I was promptly admitted. WANTS MONEY BUT VERY POOR SERVICE

Dr. Ashby is quite possibly the most knowledgable, experienced, professional, down to earth doctor in the state of Virginia , and across the country probablly. Very caring to each individuals patients personal feelings and concerns , and doesnt just approach with a standoff , it is what it is attitude like most Drs. I have dealt with in the State. My quality of life would be nowhere near as well as it is right now , if i had kept stepping backwards on my illness , with the many other unexperienced, careless , PCPs and Specialists around the state of VA. Hands down the example of what EVERY health professional should model themselves after.Staff is also very attentitive for the most part as well. Best place for your health if your in the area.-John P.

I've lost confidence in this "practice." I called two days ago to schedule a COVID shot; left a message during business hours, and no response yet. Had to call during a workday because their antiquated voicemail system wouldn't let me leave a message after hours. They'd once referred me to an outside provider for a colonoscopy six years ago, but the provider never followed up, and neither did this "practice." Still waiting. It's now clear to me that such a sloppy "practice" indicates that these guys are still practicing. My health care depends on top professionals committed to their Oath. If I had a pet duck who were sick, I wouldn't take it to these guys, even though they speak the same language.Update: It's now been more than a week since I called to schedule a COVID shot. No response from this practice (they must still be practicing). But, hey, no prob, since I got my jab elsewhere. Please, somebody. If I'm dying, do not call my primary physician. There are any number of Tarot readers out there, and more available.

Let me preface by saying I love Dr. Iudica. However the office staff is immature and unprofessional. They lack skills on customer service. I was hung up on today for asking the name of the girl I was speaking to in the phone because she had an attitude. Please train your employees on proper customer service. I didn’t raise my voice or talk nasty one time. I sincerely hope this will be addressed with that employee.

Ive been a patient with this office since about 2018/2019. Honestly, I’ve not had very many issues with them until the last year and today was the final straw with me. Do to the Adderall shortage I had been trying to make my meds stretch so they would last me longer. I hadn’t reached out for a refill on my prescription for several months. I reached out to their office TWICE this week with ZERO call back. To my utter surprised, I called the front office today only to be told that I had been “dropped as a patient from their practice for nonpayment and that I would need to reach out to the collections agency they sent my bill to.” I said, “what are you talking about, I didn’t even know I had an unpaid bill. Why wasn’t I notified about this?” The admin got a bit snide with me at this point and stated that they had sent me “SEVERAL” notices and the bill was from March… MARCH!!! I asked them what address they had on file and the one she gave me was from over a YEAR ago. I told her that I’ve not lived at that address in over a year so would have had no way of receiving said notices. I asked her why no one tries reaching out to me by phone and was told, “oh, I don’t know we normally don’t handle billing.” So, I requested to be sent to whoever handles the billing, which she obliged. The billing rep told me that they “don’t reach out to anyone by phone, and notices are always sent by mail.” So, now I’m left with a bill in collections that I had no knowledge of (and I’ve never been late on my bills) and have to find a new doctor as I currently have no way of getting the ADHD meds I need just to be able to function normally.

My Dr has never spent more than 5 minutes with me and I have been there 3 times since moving here a year ago. 3 physicals, and all she did was feel my neck, listen to my lungs and ask me a couple of questions. Then my prescription refill was called into the wrong place! Granted, I have no medical issues at this time, but I'm used to a better quality of doctors.

Syptak is the least professional 'professional' I've ever met, without considering the creep is a doctor. Inspiration enough to find a new office. This place is the pits. Would give zero stars if possible.

Fix the scale that weighs all the patients upon arrival. It's 5 lbs overstated. Told the nurse and she said many patients complain about it, if so, than why hasn't it been fixed??? It would be better to have it 2 to 3 lbs less than overstating patient's weights. Insurance companies will charge patients more for their premiums for those who self pay their own insurance premiums if this overage pushes them past what insurance considers to be the ideal weight range. Will be coming here a lot less if the scale is always going to be reflecting the wrong weight knowing the insurance company will side with the doctor's stated weight and not that I say their scale is overstated and incorrect.

Two stars because nurses and phlebotomists have always been very kind and patient. Not the practitioners. Dr.’s Ashby, Weidig, and Syptak are nothing short of scammers. I’ve never spent more than 10 minutes speaking to one of them one-on-one. Same goes for my mother. They literally don’t care. Dr. Weidig misdiagnosed my dad for a year before ordering him a biopsy, by the time he was biopsied his cancer reached stage 4 and he died a year later. Dr. Ashby did the same thing to a close family friend. Don’t even get me started on Dr. Syptak’s despicable bedside manner, I once had an appointment with him where he went on for about 10 minutes critiquing and judging female celebrities and weight loss fads. I went in that time to also talk about trouble with weight loss even though I was eating healthy and working out, and to sum it up, he told me that eating healthy is a lie and that I could eat McDonald’s all day as long as I count calories. Absolutely deplorable doctors.

I don’t think they know their butts from a hole in the ground. Seem to only care about money. Gave my mother incorrect medical information and refused to diagnose her with diabetes or do anything despite her A1C results. Would not recommend to anyone.

Went to an appointment today with a family member; the appointment went adequately well until check out. We went to check out and my family member was told they could not make her next appointment until she paid a balance on her account. A balance that she was not made aware of until Friday for charges from sometime between 2021 and 2022. The billing person she spoke with Friday was reasonable and said she could make payments on the balance, made the appointment for today and even looked into the last time my family member received a statement which was 2021. Today upon checking out we were told something completely different. We spoke with the same person my family member spoke with on Friday and this woman came in with a beyond obvious attitude. The first thing she said to my family member was ‘what did you do that you can’t make your appointment’ while CLAPPING her hands toward my family member. She had a completely different story stating the family member would need to pay her balance in full before scheduling her next appointment. We asked to speak to whoever was in charge. The next person that came in was the ‘office manager’ and asked what was going on. I explained to her the absolute pathetic and disgusting manner that the previous employee conversed in. She said she would speak to this employee and to the physician regarding the balance. My family member received a phone call from the practice about 20 minutes ago stating she was dismissed as a patient. I have worked in healthcare for almost 10 years from direct care to working in private medical practices and the way my family member was treated today is beyond shameful. Mind you, this entire discussion occurred in a non-HIPAA compliant space in the lobby where EVERYONE in the waiting room could hear. So now, we will be searching for a new family doctor for my family member who is a very complex medical case and has been going to the practice for at least 10 years. It is disgusting and a disgrace to the healthcare industry the way my family member was treated today.

I’ve been a patient here for years. Always see Dr J! This practice has really gone down hill since Covid. It’s impossible to get someone on the phone or a return call, not to mention getting a prescription refill! I called for weeks to get a thyroid medication refilled and NO ONE has yet to call back! That was 4 months ago. The Dr’s are great, the staff is not!

The office staff billed my old insurance for an appointment and charged me more than I should have paid under the correct insurance. After calling to correct the issue and nobody answering the phone, I recieve an email to call my insurance and handle it with them. My insurance confirmed I was correct and they even called Harrisonburg family practice. However, I kept receiving a bill for wrong amount. After stopping by the office I was told there was nothing I could do because it was now past 90 days from the appointment. The bill i was handed from them had a notice for a collection agency, so ended up paying it. The inept office staff cost me money and that's annoying. Ill gladly find somewhere else to go

This practice is very non responsive to the patient. If you get Dr. Ashby be prepared to wait 40 min to 1 hour. You never get his nurse on the phone and you never receive responses to request for call backs. I waited over an hour on the phone for a telemed appointment. Request for prescription refills take at least a week. Looking forward to changing from this medical facility.

I called them several times in Sept, Oct & Nov and got no reply. So we went to the practice to see why & they said it took 2 weeks to reply and they weee booked till January. I told them on each occasion that we needed our BP meds refilled…I never saw a doctor there but I will never use that practice because their office staff is the worst and rude…
