Their refill system is dumb. Priority should go to those who already have a prescription here. I have a standing rx here, called in a refill, it said it would be ready by 1 pm. Went to pick up at 3 and they don't even have the med in stock and they're not open on Sundays. Why did they say it would be ready today then? Waste of time.

Closes for lunch. No mention in "hours" on Google. Made a special trip into town exclusively to pick up Rx. Had to waste half an hour waiting for pharmacy to re-open.

The staff was extremely rude to customers. Very rushing and disrespectful. One staff member, Rhonda, continued to yell into crowds rushing people out of the store. The selection was limited at best and the prices were not worth the membership price.

A great place to save. Try week nights to avoid major crowds! The cakes are the best.

It started off as a causal Monday afternoon. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, it was honestly a beautiful day. My roommates and I were strolling through the isles trying to find food to fill us up for the next two weeks. My roommate Amanda really enjoyed the beef jerky free sample almost too much because she went back for seconds, but that's besides the point. We came across a stellar deal. Wine for $7. "Let's get it" uttered my roommate Olivia. I'm obviously in. We soon arrive at the checkout line. Amanda gives her ID and informs the lady helping us that she is buying the wine. (She is 21) She informs Amanda that she cannot buy the wine because Olivia is not of legal age. Interesting. We are puzzled but remain calm and collected. We then pay for our groceries and the lady (Julie I believe) makes a slick comment about us trying to buy alcohol underage. First of all ma'am, you are definitely the life of the party. And second, I can go buy alcohol anywhere else and won't get carded. Don't play with me. I stand up for my roommate Amanda because she is literally 21 and Julie was accusing her of trying to do something illegal, which Amanda would never do! She is a good citizen. Anyways, we make our way to Walmart right after and get what we needed to get. While also managing to steal a nice pumped Spaulding basketball as well! Moral of the story, never going to this Costco again and will be sticking to my roots at Walmart. Walmart forever

Great place to shop. Lots of good bargains. Spoiler alert- must be a member! Good for large families or for people who entertain a lot. If you see something- buy it, don't count on it being there the next time you come. Frequently, long check out lines, but they are pretty quick at getting you through.

i think i overheard my parents say the gas is cheaper here so we'll stop and i'll fill up the tank so i've been using costco for a few years now (there was a time where i would almost exclusively eat only costco at my last house in alexandria) with my parents um i'll like stocking up on some stuff that i can work through and know i am saving money along the way building up some cash savings (and there's stores near here that are entertaining the barnes and noble the michael's the mall the hobby lobby lowe's) so recently i've reintegrated the grocery stores (noting subtle differences in luray with walmart and food lion) into my plan so here i'll get maybe some frozen and other stuff that's not going to expire before i finish it so some of that um crab cakes other entrees bacon wrapped chicken stuffed with mozzarella vietnamese spring rolls with dipping sauce chicken nuggets chicken wings breakfast sandwiches burritos spicy chicken enchiladas some pho soups sometimes some cheese um good pickles jamaican beef patties so also i've gotten clothes here that were great the shopping was fun seeing the bright colors and sizes (i really liked the fall feel this year the atmosphere settling in with that commanders yardage posted in my fb feed on my smartphone exciting and encouraging being uniform too assimilating with norms) in my size here since i've put on some weight (see meds) so the shopping here being a good time i've had the hot food bar before the ribs and wings were both really good um my mom's gotten the rotisseries too and we'll have that and there'll be meals she preps for us with stuff from here another thing we got that some places have had recently was the blackstone griddle and there's videos online for those that's a real help not going out and another money saver yum home cooking with propane the harrisonburg location is fresh there'll semi be some glow from the campus jmu and the community college thinking of this as a college town and i'll also be up here for my va appointments so seeing different spots around here home depot the farmers market so a real satisfying time here getting a few things that feel good and rewarding when i get back to my house and unload what i got for myself the other day got some nice church and upcoming cold weather season stuff two different flannels (a blue one and and tan one) and a unique nautica polo i'd mention to really being under the spell of 'military benefits' like thinking of when i had shopped on the fort belvoir px and commissary before um maybe those get exported and also the coziness from getting new stuff replace old stuff to donate so yeah the chain is nice i'll also still go up to the alexandria one occasionally i'll commute there with my parents and the whole brokerage stuff (being in the background when there was getting resources or other projects) so being familiar with their displays and what to get sometimes some nice stuff i think i got some good bigger stuff before like a 'writers' desk or a power generator for an electrical outage um what else some outdoor patio furniture so yeah another good time was using the freezer on einstein bagels that really hitting a good chord in those days and when i'd get the entrees too recently not as much wanting the sandwich rolls but another good one was the chili in tupperware had the chicken alfredo and others um street tacos the food concession is nice and to the point hot dog drink toppings pizzas deserts um indoor seating with the crowds so getting around harrisonburg um the buffets and where to eat yeah the whole being a good customer part like how well stuff here has worked for me i think recently my parents may have gotten me a desktop computer that's been a breeze so thinking into it the whole days spent at the house way of life the what to do computer dog tv (with video games available) um the ceilings on what's the end for stuff the old hobbies safe um a speaker i

I go to this Costco a lot as I live in Harrisonburg and all of the workers are very kind, but one of the Managers is incredibly rude. He is a bald short man of African Decent who wears glasses and on the day I encountered him I was pushing two carts full of 25 water cases. I was in the line and usually they preform line control so I naturally assumed they were doing that today as it was pretty busy inside. The manager comes up and he asks me which line i'm going into to which I reply "oh i'm not sure no one told me so I didn't wanna assume." I work retail as well and my job also does line control so I didn't wanna be one of those guests who cuts in line or disobeys the worker. Anyway after I said that he gave me a snotty attitude and was like "Well I know your programmed to be told what to do constantly but you can choose ur line today." The choice of words was just very odd and I felt like he was treating me less than human. Other than that the cashiers and food service are very kind.

This, like all other Costcos, is my happy place. And I dare say... this Costco is actually my happier place. I'm not quite sure what it is... -A better planned out parking lot? -A less enthusiastic local fandom? -The time of day that I went? But this Costco suffers from none of the annoyances that I deal with at my local Costco in Gaithersburg MD. First off... *It's easy to park, and I didn't have to walk a mile from my parking space *The gas station didn't have a line around the block like the Costco gas in Beltsville *The lines at the register were almost non existent *And I could make my way through the aisles without feeling like I was in two hundred people's ways I'm assuming that this is just location, but man was this a top notch Costco experience. Also, the staff there was very friendly. I asked the meat guy about the briskets there and he was happy to point out all the options. I was trying to find protein drinks and the Costco worker showed me some real southern hospitality. Man... if I was in Harrisonburg I'd be at this Costco so frequently, I guarantee you they'd all know my name lol. It'd be like my "Cheers" Except I'd be buying fish, flowers, and eggs at ridiculously low prices. Hats off to the Costco in Harrisonburg VA. Good job!

There is still good in the world.
.
Long story short, I think I might have a cap on my one debit cards, and after trying multiple times AND my mom even calling to try to pay for my groceries over the phone ?? (I still need my mom at 31 amen) ANNA from Costco piped up and said she would pay for my groceries this evening and without hesitation came right over and swiped her card. WHITNEY also said if she hadn’t done it, she would have. AND the lady that tried to help us over the phone was super sweet too and made the ordeal not so terrible. So I just wanted to make sure they had a huge public FB thank you.

I am an organic vegetarian and I wanted to buy some organic vegetarian food. Unfortunately, this Costco has less of it than other Costcos. For instance, they have almonds, cashews and almond butter, but not the organic variety. I was surprised to see two items. First, they sell sprouted organic pumpkin seeds that I like. In fact, a 22 ounce bag was about $8 and a 14 ounce bag is about $13 at Whole Foods. I have never seen those at Costco. Also, they sell organic noodles and I bought those in Hawaii until they ran out and stopped carrying them. I was stoked that they had Amy's organic soup. The local Walmart sells it for about 25% more. Costcos sell green tea bags in bulk and there is an organic and conventional variety from the same company. Sometimes they sell the organic ones, but they always sell the conventional ones. This store did not have the organic ones. I actually ate a sample! I stopped eating samples when I went organic because they are usually not organic or they have ingredients I do not like. A nice lady was giving people organic, unadulterated avocado on organic bread (Dave's Killer Bread). It was good, but I passed because I anticipated buying organic avocados. Checkout was easy. An employee was at self-checkout assisting people for some reason and she did it. I would not mind returning to this location, but I would prefer it if they sold more healthy organic food, so I do not have to get it elsewhere and pay more money for it.
