As my carrier ages, his performance gets worse. I suspect his route has increased the number of stops over the last 20 years. Should he split his route with another postman? Who knows? Sounds like a management problem. All I know is there are many mistakes made per month and I am sick of it. In the last 7 or 8 years, my USPS service went from perfect to problematic. I want the old quality back.

They refuse to deliver my packages down my driveway because they do not know how to drive. I drive the driveway every day in a RWD 2 wheel drive truck. Spoke with the manager Of the post office and he was extremely rude. Refused to give me my packages and letters that they would not put in the mailbox. Since establishing this address, I’ve had nothing but issues from USPS but all of my other deliveries from UPS FedEx and even small vans like laser ship have no problems. It is crazy to me that I pay taxes and these people salary for the services and they don’t care about customer service at all.Oh and the packages that they refused to give me were Christmas presents for my 18 month old son.

My favorite post office. I refuse to mail from the Moneta post office since my mail takes so long to arrive or gets lost. I prefer to drive to this post office. I've never had a problem getting with my mail being delivered in a timely manner or lost from this post office. Lady who works there is outstanding.

I feel sad that the quality of service has gone down hill through out the years. I know how hard this business is as I have family in the Postal Service. I really hope this last complaint will help. I have Christmas gifts being returned and I cannot get them back in time for Christmas. I feel so bad for my son not being able to get his wish list items.

Is there a way to keep the couriers from doing this? Also, If they can't shoehorn it in they just leave it on the ground. Pure laziness and lack of pride in one's work.Ups and FedEx have never once had an issue placing something at our door.

Vinton USPS Wi-Fi was out and each time I go there I tread going there, each visit you will receive a rude person. After they had no Wi-Fi I went over to Hardy VA USPS, the bldg is new and employees were a pleasure to work with. It was such a relief to find positive customer service. Thank you USPS Hardy Rd.

Everybody is so friendly at this post office. Angie knows everybody and is always so friendly.

Our carrier constantly holds lightweight packages that are too large for our mailbox (but small enough to carry) at the post office for pickup instead of leaving them at our door like she used to. Oh and, literally every clerk I've come in contact with has been unpleasant. I try to have things shipped FedEx or UPS as much as I can so I can just avoid the frustration all together.
Update:
A clerk let me know that our carrier flagged our driveway as inaccessible/dangerous. It totally isn't, so I called and spoke with who I'm assuming was the manager. I made it clear that I didn't want to complain, just wanted a better understanding/to dispute our driveway being flagged that way. She said she'd follow up with me, but never did. Typical I guess.

Wendy’s stopped delivering our mail without notice because our mailbox is out of regulation. We had no idea that our mailbox was out of regulation. And then when we moved to the mailbox Wendy argued with me at the post office saying I didn’t. When I definitely did because same day I told her to go and check she deliver packages. Next time it happens I will be getting the cops involved this is the worst experience I’ve had with the post office. God bless your soul if Wendy’s your mail carrier

Last weekTracking says packages inaccessible to mailbox which is not true as driveway had been pushed three times and is accessible to mailboxes, Stating to pickup at post office. This week I have packages there now that have been there this whole week. I was advised Tuesday that our packages were left at post office but would be delivered Wednesday as I added stone to be sure they could turn around. No mail was delivered and Thursday called in and postmaster thought it had been delivered on Wednesday, as of 7pm still no mail Thursday. After Christmas I have a note left that states they would not be picking up packages due to the holiday, I thought that is what the postal service is for. I still have if needed. I have lots of people in the neighborhood that are very dissatisfied with our postal service in the area. Packages have been opened before and I see no need to know what I order as invasion of privacy.I have seen other post offices normally deliver by 5pm at the latest. There is never any consistency with the postal delivery person in my area. I wish someone would step in and make changes soon to this post office.

I normally do not do this, I give positive reviews mainly however recently the US Post Office in Hardy located at 7210 Hardy Rd, Hardy, VA 24101 has not delivered mail up and down Hardy Rd. There are approximately 3 subdivisions off Hardy Road in Bedford County where there has been no mail delivered for January 18, 19 & 20. No explanation, no notice. After going to the post office to inquire my wife was told they had no one to deliver the mail and we would have to pick it up ourselves if we wanted it. My wife was told there was no timeline as to when the service would resume. They informed her they could not get our packages at the front counter as there were to many piled up in the back to find it.Now we can pick up the mail, but what about the elderly, people in quarantine, shut-ins? Obviously you can not pick up mail for another person or family so you can not even help them out. What about those who have mail order medications where their employer mandates they use mail order prescription services? Are they just to go without their medications? What about those who have bills waiting at the post office to be paid? The ones you owe money to will not care if they don't deliver your mail, you will be late, assessed a late penaltyNow I was always told don't bring me a problem without a solution. Here is mine.Yes I know they are short staffed, everyone is but could you stagger mail deliveries to every other day? For those who have not received mail one day a driver is placed on another route. The main post office in Roanoke should provide additional staff to assist. A driver does not own a route, they can be redirected. Work on the backlog, prioritize medical packages. The staff at Vinton PO counter have always been nice and helpful, but they are having to deal with the backlog and inefficient delivery of services

The post office off of Hardy road had one of the worst customer service of anywhere I have experienced. I was told that they aren’t checking ID for packages and that they probably gave my package to someone else. Basically said there was nothing they would do. Angie is the person I dealt. Avoid her at all cost. She is the most incompetent person, I don’t know how she is allowed to work there. She said she gave away my package, admitted to not checking ID (which is against the law), and when I said I would make a complaint her response was “Oh well it will just come back to me so…”. The lack of customer service and level of incompetence is ridiculous. She truly doesn’t care about her job and has zero integrity personally or professionally. She is rude, incompetent, and lazy and shouldn’t be allowed to continue to work there. I’m not fully convinced that she is not stealing the packages but I am going to report this. If this has happened to you please report this should not be allowed to continue.

On Coopers cove that mail carrier is the worst. Delivered packages to our door for years and now our driveway is “too dangerous.” Then when you go to the post office to pick up a package, they give an attitude because they’re “short staffed, the back is a mess and they can’t find anything and don’t have time to look.” I wish I could just pay extra to have fed-ex and UPS deliver.

Anytime something needs to be brought to the door they just leave a note saying they missed us in the mailbox instead of even trying to walk to the door. Even when I’ve specifically missed work to receive a package. The actual definition of lazy. Driver has been caught multiple times trying to do this too.
