Worst experience ever. Required a 90% deposit for multiple furniture items LAST SUMMER. Promised to reupholster two chairs that they took and NEVER RETURNED. Still have not received the furniture - minus one bed that had to be pushed for. Absolutely unprofessional and very disappointing.

MJL Design purchased an appliance package for a house, she was the designer on from Appliance Studio in November 2022. We installed these appliances March 21, 2023. Josie and MJL Design did not pay for the appliances and still owes Appliance Studio $13,479. Please do not do business with this company.

We purchased carpet pieces for our living and dining room from MJL Designs. The owner, Josie Long, visited our condo and did an excellent job picking out carpet samples for us to look at. She simplified the entire process for us by choosing carpet samples that complimented our furniture and the color on our walls. We could not be happier with the carpeting. I would like to compliment Josie and her entire store staff for being very responsive, very cheerful, accommodating and friendly whenever I visited the store or any of them visited our condo. We also enlisted Josie's help in selecting fabric to reupholster some dining room Captain's chairs and to make some cushions for a couple of wicker indoor/outdoor chairs. Her fabric and pattern selections were excellent.

Eight years ago when we were looking for our place to retire from Indiana, friends directed us to Smith Mountain Lake. We fell in love with the area and the community. We contracted with Kris Interiors to remodel our home family room, kitchen and bathrooms. They and their contractors did an amazing job. We purchased Hunter Douglas Roman Shades for our family room. After years of constant use, the draw strings and locking mechanism on two of the larger shades no longer worked properly. We stopped in at MJL Design, talked to Olivia and explained our problem. She said to send her photos and a video of the issue, which we did. She contacted Hunter Douglas and for only the cost of shipping, Hunter Douglas re-strung and repaired the locking mechanisms on both at no cost. The timely help and follow up by Olivia, especially over the holiday`s made us believers in MJL Design and their wonderful staff. We will be remodeling our basement this year and MJL Design will be our first call in order to make that happen. They have provided excellent service for us.R Klinkbeil

They made 2 sets of full length. fine drapes for me. The seamstress was really good and the fabric was elegant. The sales person that helped me had good taste and really helped me to pick out the fabric. The sales person did not fully explain price from the beginning of appointment to measure etc. The drapes were really nice, but extremely expensive. I think they make a lot of money off the fabric. Be prepared to spend thousands if you want drapes from them.

You come home from a long day at work and you still can't relax.
You look around and despite everything being tidy things somehow still look like a mess.

Terrible service and Kris is horrible to work with! She lost my furniture in her warehouse and didn't care. She is also very experience and terrible work!
