I don't leave a lot of reviews...But this was one of the worst financial and personal decisions I've made in my life.We sold our house and elected to use PODs while our new house was being built.From the get go I should have been skeptical because one of the pods was in pretty rough shape when it showed up.I elected to put things from the garage in the shed in worst condition and just dining room furniture as a result to be safe.The other pod was in good condition so we put our actual house items and furniture in there.We were told it would not cost us to be moved from the facility to the new home and when it came time were told that we would actually need to pay an additional 1.5k to move them.Either way, I sucked it up paid the money.When our house was built, which should have been a really happy day... The pods showed up and as soon as we opened it we knew there was a problem.Our house pod had been completely infested with Mice and the 16ft pod stacked from back to front and top to bottom had feces all throughout it.Our mattress and couches even though covered with moving covers and safety sleeves were completely destroyed and the second pod was no better in terms of mouse feces.I had paid for the insurance and reached out to PODs only to find out...guess what the insurance doesn't cover mice infestation...So not only am I out thousands of dollars for rental and moving expenses...I'm also out 10s of thousands of dollars to completely refurnish my home...I wish I had a better way to get a response but PODs has now said it's out of their hands...So I'll leave probably the only negative review I've ever left here and will probably get no response from them or accountability...Even though wherever they are storing things are certainly infested with Mice...Would not recommend and wish I had a better way to communicate that to a larger audience.

We ordered a pod to be delivered today (10/20). The driver arrived and as he got out of his truck rambled about he had been on the phone with his manager who was going on an on about nothing. (Clue #1)He asked where to place the pod and my husband showed him. This set the driver off on another tirade as it would take some maneuvering to put it where we chose. (About a year ago, we used Pods and a much larger one that fit in the exact spot fine, so this 12 ft - quite smaller pod definitely will fit). He became visibly frustrated and asked if customer service had called us to which my husband said no. The driver said WE checked off the wrong way for them to LOAD THE POD. My husband explained there was no option to ‘choose’ how to load a pod. The driver angrily stated ‘this is the 4th time today I’ve dealt with customer service’. He then proceeded to tell my husband it wasn’t his job to fit the pod in that space and anyway, if he tried to, it would take extra time and he’d get hung up in traffic. The driver climbed back in his truck and left. With our pod.This all occurred around noon.It is now 6:04pm and my husband is STILL on the phone with the umpteenth person trying to get help.You decide.

If you are moving pods is the way to go and use. Customer service was great the pick up and drop off was good and on time

Absolutely horrible experience with PODS. We reserved a box weeks before our move date, which they did drop off on time. They did NOT follow the drop off instructions and placed the box on the wrong side of our apartment complex. Nevertheless, the box was loaded and picked up on time.The biggest issue arose when our delivery date window, estimated at 1:15-4:15, came and was missed. When our delivery didn’t show up I immediately contacted customer service; they advised me that the truck was running behind, but that it was out for our delivery next. 3 more hours passed and no delivery. Another call to customer service and they told us that we would be rescheduled for TWO DAYS later. We of course told them that was unacceptable. Meanwhile, we had movers paid for and lined up for the day after our originally scheduled delivery date. Customer service told us there was “nothing they could do because the facility was not answering the phone or responding to their attempts to get a status” and they would request an early am delivery the next day. They informed me that they could not guarantee an early am delivery because the local facility schedules their own deliveries, but early am reschedule requests were rarely declined. I asked them not to reschedule yet because I didn’t want to risk the box not getting delivered late on the original day, since no one could get in contact with the driver or facility or manager, and no one knew where my box was. An hour before customer service closed, I called back and asked for a status update and they still had not heard back nor could they contact the facility. After many attempts to escalate our situation above customer service due to us now having to sleep on the floor, the best they could do was offer us fifty dollars off our bill. I expressed my frustration with PODS lack of communication and inability to not only resolve my complaint expeditiously, but to even guarantee that my box wasn’t out on the side of the road somewhere and for only offering a pittance of $50 for my inconvenience. Being completely helpless, I was forced to concede to waiting until the next morning, anticipating an early am reschedule email (“because they’re rarely declined”), only to find we had been rescheduled for later that evening. Paid-for movers were rescheduled again.Throughout the entire experience, the very obvious lack of concern for our situation from the local facility was compounded by their very poor understanding of customer service. My entire life was in this box, and we were ignored and ghosted. This isn’t a broken computer or a hair in my food. Everything I own was in this box. I still have not received any contact from the local manager, nor has customer service followed up.When the box was finally delivered (in the afternoon), the drivers excuse was “someone called out sick” and that was the end of their explanation.I will make sure everyone I know is aware of the poor customer service PODS provides as a company and their complete and utter lack of urgency in solving problems. I will never be using PODS ever again, and I will do all I can to make sure as many people know not to as well.

Do NOT give this company your money in any way!! I called on several different occasions to close my account. everyone assured me that my account would be closed and my card would not be charged. ALL LIES. Its so hard to be nice when they clearly dont care if you are actually being helped or not. every time I call it's as if its someone else's problem that my card keeps getting charged!!!I spoke with "Jake", "Yolonda", "Louis" I get passed around to different departments, everyone is looking into this, but no one is actually doing anything. Meanwhile, card still being charged. HOW HARD IS IT TO CLOSE AN ACCOUNT! I DO NOT NEED STORAGE FOREVER! This company is TRASH and I dont even write reviews, but this has gone on long enough!!!!by the way, when I went to empty my unit, it had roaches, could not even take my own stuff home immediately.

Pick up at my family's home was scheduled for yesterday morning. Several phone calls later and now an overnight with no phone call about updates or a reason for a 24+ hr delay and the pod is still sitting in the original driveway waiting (and holding up progress) to be delivered to the new address.

We scheduled our pod to be delivered July 8th, SIX WEEKS ago. Called pods July 8th and they said the estimated time of delivery would be 12-1. It never showed up. Called back they said they never deliver on Sundays but would get it there the next day. 4 days later many many hours on hold and still no idea when our pod will be delivered. Supposed customer service reps promise to call us back but never do. This place is a mess. The bonus, they just keep charging our credit card!!!!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! Got scammed $1500 using PODS. DMO advised military not to use them because of the scams but I did not listen and got scammed. I ordered a pre weight and a after weight. They dropped it off with our giving a weigh pre ticket. My husband and I both spent 3 days trying to get ahold of them. Getting put on hold for 2-5 hours each time only to get hung up on with no one even saying hello. Listen to your local DMO if your military.

If I could give them zero stars I would, customer service is terrible, pod was delivered and then my order was canceled, tried to get this resolved for 4 weeks now, on hold for hours and emailed i don`t know how many times, worth company every. Never ever again

Somehow they could not find my information when it was time to come and pick up the pot, but they could find it when it was time to bill me.The wait time for customer service sucks.

I would highly recommend PODS for moving and storage. We used their POD and their Bellhop service, and it worked very well. There was enough time to load the POD. It was held in storage, and then delivered to the new house. The Bellhop team was wonderful and very professional. The PODS drivers were helpful and gave concise instructions. They worked with you if you had to make changes to your order. Very pleased with the overall experience.
