Everything is always top tier when I eat here. I came for brunch with friends, and the atmosphere was fabulous. The food came out fairly quickly as well. I had the brunch burger, and it was delicious. They've cracked the code to an A1 dining experience. Happy to support this business.

The food is very delicious. I have been here for brunch and lunch. Lunch has larger portion sizes, but both meals were delightful. I ordered the French dip for lunch, and for brunch, I had the French toast.

This place looks nice food is okay but the staff is horrible. Our waiter was name Nate and he had an attitude the whole entire time. He was very rude and nasty kept being sarcastic. He never asked us how was our food or came to see if we needed anything else to drink. The manager on duty ended up taking over for him she was more pleasant. I don’t remand you eat here being they make you wait so long. We were outside at 11:00 until 1:00pm. Trying to wait for a seat is horrible. Another waiter or bust lady was really rude and had an attitude.

Beware....we came in to buy some mango preserves and a $50 gift card. We were told that there is a 18% take out fee when you get a gift card and on the preserves as well. That is a $9 fee to get a gift card...Wow...not only did Mango Mangeaux lose a $70+ sale due to this, but they also lost our business...benefit for El Diablo down the street. No take out fees on there gift cards.

Staff was friendly and genuinely concerned with our experience. The atmosphere is nice. Nothing special but at least the music was mellow and at an acceptable volume for conversation. The food is over priced. We had the Bananas Fosters french toast ($15) which was two thin slices of bread, An 8th of a banana and half of a small strawberry. The sauce was so sparce it still needed syrup. We also had the shrimp and grits ($20) which were in no way indicative of cajun or creole cuisine. Very bland. We couldn't taste any smoked gouda. Six shrimp were all overcooked. The best thing was the mimosa. The biggest insult was that I asked for a taste of the mango preserve and they charged me for a side. Our bill was $50 before tip. We won't be back to Mango Mangeaux, nor will we be patronizing these owners other businesses.

Let me be 1000% clear! If your tongue has yet to taste Chef Jamar food here at this establishment you are MISSING OUT! This great Chef made this mouth watering Sweet Potato Mash that was topped the Lamb Chops made to perfection! That spinach was great and just enough garlic! Let me be clear...I have eaten here ONLY 1x and will travel again across that ratchet bridge for his food. Our server Nate was absolutely amazing and patient with our large unorganized group. He did that!! Dessert, Beignets, was DIVINE and I forgot to take my photos of it.

Legitimately the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. My entree was inedible, the crab cake had a terrible taste and smell, and I could not eat it. My waitress went back to tell the chef I had an issue with the food and I could hear someone in the back talking bad about me within ear shot. My waitress, who was also one of the managers, came back and told me that the chef said the food is fresh so they will not be removing it from the bill. They also told me they can’t remove the plate from the table and that I’d have to box it up myself and then tell them to throw it away. I’m not one to complain at restaurants because I have worked at one before and know how it goes, but I don’t think what happened during my experience was right.

The mango spread was delicious as well as the grits. I usually eat grits with sugar, but the consistency and butter was so perfect, I didn't need it!

I brought my sister in for her birthday weekend and after reading the reviews I was very excited but after the meal I have to admit I was disappointed with some parts of our experience. The restaurant is bistro style and asthetically beautiful. Our server was friendly but overwhelmed and it took a while for everything including waiting 25 min for the bill. Maybe they were short staffed. I'm not sure but I didn't see a lot of servers on the floor. I ordered the skillet which was eggs, bacon, grits, toast and potatoes. While eating I found a piece of metal which looked like maybe a brillo pad but thicker so I let my server know. She took my grits and the piece of metal to the manager. I did receive a new bowl of grits which I did not eat because I wasn't really sure if there would be anything else in them but I accepted them because I didn't want to be rude and our server was very apologetic. All of my other food was good so I didn't want a discount or anything but the manager never even came over to speak with me. That was a little disappointing considering I could have been injured had I eaten it and it would have been nice to be acknowledged especially considering that I was very understanding. I have worked in restaurants so I know mistakes happen but usually management wants to ensure guest satisfaction personally so that was different and I felt bad for our server being placed in that situation considering she is not responsible for what happens in the kitchen. She did apologize on behalf of her management and I accepted. She also explained that they have strict rules against spillage so if something is wrong just prepare to have it replaced as they do not discount or comp food no matter the situation. The bill was around $92 for 3 people. Two juices, two coffees and three entrees so a bit steep but I expected that. It's nice to support Black owned businesses and I will consider giving this one another chance and try and different meal in spite of the less than stellar first impression.
