Just moved to Hampton from Pennsylvania.
I have never been treated with the utmost kind and willing to assist employees of a grocery store in my life! From Larry who went out of his way to assist me in locating an item and offering to help put groceries in my car when he was getting carts from the lot. To Jaydah who is such a sweet and kind cashier ,and Kevin who helped me with my cart to my car.
Those employees are exceptional and need to be recognized by the company for their outstanding acts of kindness towards the customer! Thank - you very much

Prices after COVID are for the most part 20% to 30% higher than competitors. The staff are not even trained. The shelves are not always stocked as some reviewers have stated. I stopped grocery shopping because of the prices and they are always out of items I am shopping for. I did complain and was told they can't hire people to stock the shelves. Well, if you paid more than McDonalds, you could hire people.
This use to be a good Starbucks location when it was Farm Fresh and the baristas were trained. Now they hire people and do not train them. Every month there would be new people working. The brewed coffee is absolutely the worse I have ever had. The coffee does not even taste like Starbucks. On the bold roast, they only use half the amount of grind and the coffee is so weak it looks like blond roast. The brewed bold roast taste like they use the same grounds and just add a little more fresh grounds to make a second pot. When you complain, they just shrug their shoulders and do not care. I once asked them if they tried the coffee and neither so-called barista ever drank a brewed coffee.
The produce department is usually well stocked but be sure to check the dates on bagged produce. I have bought spinach and bagged salads and after a few days, they weren't any good. When I checked the date, the best used by date was the date I bought them. The last time I bought bananas there, I ended up with a fruit fly infestation that I still have not been able to get rid of.
The meat department is usually well organized and stocked and the people in that department are friendly. Again though, the prices are higher than competitors and beef and chicken are all the same no matter where you buy them. They are all mass produced on corporate farms and grain fed. At one time, they had some local Virginia small farm beef that was excellent but never saw it in the store again after that one time.

Have steaks on sale and no steak to be found why this is horrible and then said it a 30 min wait why I feel like I went to rite aid for my prescription are thy serious too much

This is a beautiful store and nice selection of things. We were driving through and like an oasis in a desert we see Harris Teeter just in time to replenish our healthy road trip snacks. Unfortunately the bathroom facilities were absolutely atrocious. Unknown debris splattered all over the stall walls. The stall door closure was broken. The paper towel dispensers were both jammed. An unpleasant experience at most and sadly not to the standards we have come to love and expect from Harris Teeter. A fine place to run in an grab what you need, but maybe try a 7 Eleven for cleaner bathroom facilities.

Genuinely one of the worst managed grocery stores I’ve ever been in. Get ready to stand in line for half an hour cause they can’t be bothered to open any actual registers.
