Bit of backstory for this to make sense, I use to live in Hampton and sent my Great Pyrenees to Freed every Wednesday for daycare. I, at the time, lived in an apartment and wanted him to be able to run around and play. The staff took great care of him; he would come home brushed, tired, and was always excited to go back. They also handled all his medical checks and shots. Prior to moving to Rushmere and across the JRB, I was set on Freed. Now the biggest reason for this review. When my husband and I moved, the house we bought had a bunch of strays that would hang out around the carport. I fell in love with one and got attached, however we had just gotten a cat not too long prior and I didnt want to stress her out so we kept the stray outdoors and loved him from there. In October, my husband was walking me to my car and saw Munchie (the cat) laying on our stairs with a severely broken leg. Thankfully we were able to get Munchie in a carrier and taken to Animal Control.About a week after, I received a call saying they were not going to be able to help Munchie, but if I wanted to save him I could. Without thinking, I accepted and immediately called Freed. After explaining the situation and the length of time that had passed, they advised me to bring him to them ASAP. I did just that and they squeezed him in between appointments and stayed late to care for him. He was with them extended time to ensure he took well to surgery and was adjusted well.Communication was an all time high and they did everything I could have asked for and more. I have even gotten calls and messages asking how he has been doing and to check on him. Im forever thankful for the care that was provided.

I took my dog here for her surgery because she couldn’t take a bowel movement and she ended up needing exploratory surgery. I’m so glad I brought her to Dr. K, she did an amazing job and took excellent care of my girl. The whole team has been extremely caring and patient with my dog and made the whole process as fear free as possible. Thank you to all of the Freed Veterinary staff for making what could have been an extremely stressful situation go so smoothly and stress free. From check in to check out you were all amazing!

I absolutely LOVE Freed, Dr. K took excellent time overlooking my senior pup and made sure we were on the same page of how we need to adjust her care for the future. My girl is nearly 13, and to know she cares so much about the comfort of my Piggy is fantastic. I will always choose Freed Vet

My dog is usually very shy and jumpy so I was nervous when I brought her in for a bath and checkup. However, I was pleasantly surprised by their “fear-free” tactics because they took the time to befriend her and help her feel safe, she got so much loving from the staff that she barely noticed the stuff being done to her lol. (Said dog is in my profile picture)

I found this vet by chance while looking for a new vet for my reactive 9 year old german shepherd. I had emailed asking if they had a side door we could bring her through so she wouldn't have to see another animal. Kaila emailed me back and said no problem! After having been told no, that it wasn't a big deal just bring her to the vet and chancing it, or just plain ignored by other vet clinics, Freed was already winning points in my book. Having a reactive dog is stressful for EVERYONE involved, and having an understanding and sympathetic vet is SO helpful! I still want to get my pet medical care, and Freed allowed that to happen. They never made me feel bad for having an anxious and reactive dog that requires extra TLC. That really meant a lot.The people working at Freed are compassionate, friendly, and dedicated. They were available on their app, via email, phone, and text. They have prompt response times, I never waited more than a day to get an email response, and never more than an hour for a response to a voice-mail. They have reasonable prices and a pharmacy on site.Once, my mother had to bring in my dog for an appointment. Kaila called me to give me the run down on everything that was said and done during the appointment, which I really appreciated!Tonya is a total rockstar. She really goes above and beyond, and you can tell she LOVES what she does.Debbie didn't flinch when my dog got reactive and was more concerned about how bad my dog must have been feeling to react like that.Dr. K was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answered my questions thoroughly, and didn't make me feel bad if I needed her to repeat herself or write it down for me. She was understanding of financial limitations, didn't do any unnecessary tests, and did everything she could within reason to help my baby. She cleared up infections and got my gal up to date on everything. They did a great teeth cleaning and really worked with us to make sure my dog was as healthy as she could be. Unfortunately, Deedee just wasn't doing well no matter what, as we found she had splenic cancer. Dr. K was extremely sympathetic when she had to tell me that we had to put my DeeDee down.Kaila was amazing in every way. I think she cared about my dog as much as I did! She had gone to lunch before Dr. K told me about having to euthanize. She saw how poorly Deeds was doing and told the other receptionist to call her and to tell her to come back if things went south. Kaila cut her lunch short to come back and say bye to my baby. As she lay on the floor, petting my dog, she told me that before euthanization, they give each dog a piece of chocolate so they could try it before passing over the rainbow bridge. She even offered a piece of chocolate from her own personal stash to take home with me because I was going to bring my baby home and had someone come to do an at home euthanization. Kaila coming back from lunch early and saying bye to my dog meant so much to me that I'm crying just writing about it.I appreciate Freed and everyone who interacted with me and my dog. Thank you for everything you all did for my baby while she was still on this side of the bridge.

My pet was put down at freed and the doctor and nurses were so sweet and made a bad experience a little easier to handle. They are a great vet office that really cares about their patients and their patients owners.

They killed my cat. After tooth surgery they sent her home and said she was healthy. She never recovered after tooth surgery so I brought her back two weeks later and they ran another $1500 worth of stuff on top of the $3000 that it cost for the teeth issues. They sent her home again and less than a week later I had to take her back because she was not doing well. Dr. K said they would run some different tests to try to find out what was going on. They threw the entire same kitchen sink at the wall, seeing if doing the same thing over would change the definition of insanity, my cat died she was only seven they told me that I had signed paperwork authorizing them to do things I had not authorized them to do. They charged me again for the same stuff that was inconclusive the first time. Yet they are hounding me about the bill and doing things over and they even charged me for food that she would not eat.I subsequently boarded my dog, ( before I saw the crazy cat bill) and they medicated him without my permission and prescribed drugs that I did not authorize, and would not have paid for since they were duplicates of drugs that I already had at home. The dog came home with a major case of diarrhea, even though the staff said that he was fine. He crapped all over the floors for three days This vet practice used to be wonderful, but it is now all about the money;they are understaffed and overworked, and they bring too many dogs into daycare which stresses out the entire population. Do not use

Good staff and services but horrible contact service. Almost worthless telephone and web site contact link.Update as of 5/3/2023 - even after trying different device and browser, still a horrible web site contact link. Continues to get "err name." I'll try using a telephone again.
