The sales consultant, Matt Cordes, with the Coleman Hampton VA service center is an excellent communicator and provides exceptional customer service. I would highly recommend Coleman Moving to anyone looking to move from the Hampton Roads VA area. Matt will give you a reliable & competitive quote, as well as answer any questions / concerns you may have about any aspect of your relocation.

5 days late picking up. Brought a truck that was too small. Lost a job i had lined up because they were so late. Lost 3k in mortgage penalties because we had to delay closing. Even when they brought the 2nd truck, I had to force them to take what was left. they complained the whole time. They're currently unloading now. 4 days past their promised delivery date. So far they have broken 1 tv, 2 light fixtures, lost the hardware to put our beds back together and lost our patio furniture. This is a god damn joke. I feel like I'm being punked. This is the absolute worst company I have ever been associated.....all at the low low price of 8k.
**edit!!! i just got my claim back they are paying 300.00 total for THOUSANDS of dollars in damage. dont say you werent warned. This company is 100% trash. the biggest pieces of trash I have ever delt with. They are paying 9 dollars total for being a cumluative 10 days late. dont let them lie to you about 100$ a day missed delivery/pick up. its all a hoax. they WILL steal your money, and in my case patio furniture and a power washer.

If I could give Zero stars I would!!! I wanna start by saying this was the absolute worst move I have ever had! This company was extremely unprofessional and unprepared! For starters the driver arrived at my home at 8am but didn’t start until 1pm because he didn’t bring any packing supplies! He brought nothing for my move. I had a 5 bedroom 3100sq ft home and he arrived with a 26ft uhaul truck to make multiple trips to where the actual moving truck was parked. My items were incorrectly packed and nothing was inventoried properly. The driver didn’t speak English so it made the experience 10x harder as he couldn’t understand my concerns! The packers had to switch out because of how unprepared the team was, therefore they didn’t finish backing my belongings until 6am the next morning, after me and my husband repeatedly told them that we had to get on the road at 4am the next morning. Needless to say we were late getting on the road. Upon arrival of my shipment, several of my items were broken, damaged and missing. Nothing was packed properly , nothing was wrapped properly!!!! Thousands of dollars worth of items were ruined! They broke my crystal chandelier because they just through it in the box, manicure tables were torn apart even after telling them that the glass top doesn’t come off, etc. they left my grill, then went back to get it and never delivered it to my home. I don’t even know why the military continues to contract with them! They are the worst and most unprofessional and this experience has been a nightmare! My children’s beds can’t be put together because pieces are missing and the screws are nowhere to be found It looked as though things were just thrown any which way onto the truck. No one at this company has been of any help, and actually the dispatcher blocked my number after I called to make a complaint! So unprofessional and I will definitely start a lawsuit if needed!

I didn’t actually use the moving services. Found the employees very rude and unprofessional. Also could not get through to the operator to make a complaint.

Absolutely trash, and a disgrace to call themselves professional. They treat Military Moves like absolute trash. Tried to hid the fact they didnt crate boxes which is super suspicious. They are supposed to crate and seal boxes before leaving and they tried to sneak off without doing so. Thats how stuff gets “lost”…. Absolute thieves and taking advantage of the Military.

Coleman is an outstanding moving company. They make moving a pleasant easy experience. Terry Cason did my virtual tour and pricing. He was friendly and honest and explained the process. Hayden Seay, the move coordinator, kept in touch with me and gave me updates from start to finish. The movers, Rohan, crew leader, Albert, Moe, and Lounzie were an awesome crew. They took such good care of me and my belongings. All were great at their job. Rohan is a master at packing a truck. It was unbelievable how he knew exactly where to and how to stack boxes. It was very impressive. I cannot say enough good things about all of them. I had the best time with them and a lot of good laughs. By the end of the process, they became my friends.

Coleman American Lost my things, and I only had two things to ship overseas. When I got to Japan, I emailed my move counselor to ask them when I should expect to receive my things, and received a response saying my things are lost, and it never left Virginia. According to my counselor Coleman American “reached out” to me on Oct 19th, 2022, to tell me to file a claim because my things were misplaced. I checked my emails and phone records for that day, and I don't have an email from them and have zero calls from the 19th of October. I can't file a claim with DPS like they asked me to because there's no option for me to file a claim on my shipment in DPS. I’ve been emailing back and forth for a month now to try and resolve the issue, and Coleman American has stopped responding to my emails. 0 out of 10 don't use Coleman American for any move even if you are military.

Absolutely the worst moving experience we have had in the 10 years I have been in the military. Coleman Allied lost an estimated 800 pounds of our household goods, than offered below value on the half of our property that we did receive that was damaged. When a claim was started the company was slow in responding and wanted us to give them our "scratched" or damaged furniture if they reimbursed us for the damages. they never once addressed our lost property. We lost family heirlooms from deceased family members and they damaged furniture that was passed down through my family. I am beyond upset. there is not reimbursement that could make this better. The movers that dropped our belongings off were standing on our furniture as they pulled boxes down off other boxes. normally they put our furniture in large wooden boxes, when we received the property it was all thrown into the truck haphazardly.

Broke $2800 worth of furniture and lost about $800 worth of personal property. Not to mention we got other peoples personal property that was also broken. Also tore up flooring at our new house.

So to share my story, I came back from Germany as a child in 1998. When I got here shortly after I was told that all of our belongings had been lost in storage. In February of 2022 my mother received a letter stating the fee, which after over 20 years you could only imagine that it was pretty high, but even then it was less than what it should have been. I called and spoke with Damon and asked him if we could possibly work out something. He told me he would call the president and see what he could do for me. After speaking with the president, he contacted me and gave me an amazing deal on retrieving all of my items. After this I paid for their delivery services, which were still less than the initial quote. Today I had 2 gentlemen bring down and unload my belonging for me and they were everything you could expect out of customer service. I appreciate their business, and would definitely recommend them. Even after 20 some years they protected my items so well that I was able to put air in the tires on my brother's bike, they weren't dry rotten and the chain was still oiled. I rode it around the yard with no issue besides me being old now ?

To whom it may concern I wasn't even a customer. But my new neighbors who moved in nextdoor were the customers. On Saturday8/28/21 in Suffolk VA. What I don't appreciate is to have someone knocked to My door to ask me can I move my vehicle that is parked in front of my property were we pay property taxes at. So he can have room to park is a major issue.if your employee don't understand the logistics of operationing the moving truck then maybe they need a refresher course or maybe he needs to pick a different line of work. To have someone inconvenience you at 9am on a Saturday is very unprofessional.the matter should be addressed and handle . because my next compliant will be file a better business bureau and attorney general office of Virginia. And the left trash in front of my house and I wasn't even the customer. I would not recommend your company to anyone.
