Absolutely THE rudest staff I have ever encounter at a post office. I had shipped something the previous day in a large box, and came back the next day with the same size box, and was told by the clerk he wouldn’t ship that size. I said I shipped the same size yesterday, and he said “no you didn’t, nope”. Yes I did? I showed him the receipt as proof and he got irritated. Absolutely ridiculous.

Needs work the parking lot is a mess and the outside lights don’t work at night so the whole parking lot is dark.

Not very nice, won't come here again. Gentleman at counter was short and clicked on the screen where I was supposed to double-check the address....he just clicked "accept" without even asking me to double-check it. I'll go to the Round Hill post office next time, they are super sweet!!

Zero stars if I could leave none. I couldn't disagree more with Elaine's review. I don't know what planet she is living on lol This guy is the Village Idiot. I have reported him numerous times to his supervisor. He retaliates with he receives negative feedback. For example, I broke my leg and receive numerous packages. He purposely put my packages in the bottom locker when other lockers higher were available. He knew there was no way I could bend over to get them. I have had a PO box for years and if a package comes with my street address he sends it back and I only find out when the vendor sends me a receipt and credits my payment method. It's not like we live in a metropolis. He could easily accept the package for me. I find this behavior inexcusable. Our taxes are paying his salary! If you need other examples of his inept management of the Hamilton post office, I will be more than happy to comply. His predecessor, Debbie, was absolutely WONDERFUL and I miss her helpful demeanor and kindness to provide over-the-top service.

Post your hours of operation on the internet. When you close every day between 1 and 2 PM that information is more than just nice to know!

The postal clerks here know what they are doing and always very helpful........cannot say the same for the Purceville post office where have had nothing but trouble and clerks don't have a clue what they are doing.

Why are my packages constantly being left on the ground next to my mailbox in the rain???? Second package now that is soaking wet. Are the mail men too lazy to walk 50 feet to put on my porch? Ridiculous, careless, LAZY.

This is the best post office in the whole USA! I just love it and find that everyone who has ever worked there is hard-working, friendly, and helpful. I am grateful to have such a wonderful Post Office in our little town of Hamilton, VA.
