Myself and others waited until 0920. It happens far too often. Some consistency and a stamp machine would be helpful. No one ever showed so we left.

Built in 1804! Of all the post offices I've seen, and there's been quite a few, this is one of the top ten. A landmark in Hadensville, this vintage post office is beautifully maintained. The exterior is fabulous! The cream and rust colored paint, the tree trunk columns, the wrought iron- all add the the charm and allure of this post office, which used to be a general store. I love when government post offices are unique and have so much character!Inside is an incredible museum of the post office, with antiques, old photos, and lots of wood and brass fixtures, even a wood stove! Cameron, the postmaster, was kind enough to give us a mini history of the area and welcomed us like we were old friends! They sold the elephant stamps which I hadn't seen before! The hours are M-F 9-1, Saturday 8:30-12.

Good luck ever finding an employee working here during business hours. 75% of the time I end up wasting my gas because no one is ever staffed behind the desk during business hours. They literally just open up so people can access their PO Boxes.

This used to be a nice place used to be a fully functional post office now it's a PO Box facility and drop off point. It's still rather quaint and older. It's about all you get for downtown haydenville. It's old enough it's probably historic or at least mid-century.

A perfectly welcoming small one room country post office.
