Working on getting our own personal building after this experience. With times hard for many these people make it harder. I needed a different due date to pay the rent. Instead of working with it so I could make it happen the started hitting me with a 20.00 late fee after a few days late knowing I couldn't make it at that time due to bigger, more important bills due. Then I had to pay for their lock which was another 20.00. When I decided to get my stuff out instead of letting us pay the balance off in 4 days from when she wanted it she hit us with an auction fee and told us we only had until the next morning at 8am or we had to pay the auction fee even when it wasn't going to auction. All of this is after we are told she will work with us. We were never worked with. We understand bills being paid but would it really hurt them to move our due date so we could always take care of things or waive an auction fee that wasn't even going to exist or the lock fee? Money hungry I guess. My husband had just had back surgery and everything fell on me who was working 2 jobs. People need to have a heart and help not make things worse for those who are honestly trying. I'll never rent again after being taken advantage of. We tried communicating with these owners too but weeks would pass before responses. Then the send a certify letter out to let you know you have to pay for their lock and their auction fee that isn't happening. Certify away because I have the right to not sign also.
