Perfect place to camp it has everything and is really easy to get to! The staff is amazing and the place itself is pretty with the stream and views of the mountains! If you have someone worried about driving in the mountains this place is a breeze to get to and is not scary at all. There is a ton to do there and near by as well!

Misty Mountain is one of the nicest campgrounds I've stayed in. Very friendly and kind staff. My two favorite things were: 1) The expansive, woodsy grounds. I have a dog and it's always nice to have a good place to walk and 2) The bathhouse! The showers were fantastic. I can only wish all campgrounds offered such nice showers.I also very much appreciate the December offer of stay 2 nights get the 3rd free. Thanks so much!

Our children are grown and gone. We typically camp with a crowd of similarly, situated adults. Misty Mountain Camp Resort is an awesome launch point for the various sites in the area that we wish to see. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, could not be a better place to camp!Nearby activities: Great launch point to visit local wineries and breweries. Also conveniently located near skyline drive and Shenandoah National Park.

I’ve camped here twice now. I camp in the backcountry sites, so I can’t speak for any other camp areas. Both times though, the staff has been very helpful and friendly. The bathrooms and common areas are always clean and well kept. VERY family and pet friendly. Will continue to come here!Nearby activities: We spent the weekend hiking and exploring near by wineries

Great campground right off of interstate 64. There are spots for campers and tents, as well as cabins and an amazing bunkhouse. There is a playground, a camp store, and a bathhouse. They also have live music often, a bounce pillow, a dog park, horseshoes, billiards, and a pond! I only rated four stars because it can get SO busy. You need to reserve as far in advance as you can for the bunkhouse especially!Nearby activities: Within driving distance of multiple breweries

All sites were close to level. Area was well maintained. Very organized group. People who run it are very helpful. Dog area was good size. Gave retired military discount, people forget we were active before retiring. They have movies under the stars at night or live band on weekends. I’ll be back loved it. Family oriented kid safe. They go out of their way to make sure things are safe for little kids like in the old days.

To clarify, Misty Mountain is a campground and not a hotel. While I did not take advantage of their cabins available for rent, I did enjoy a very clean campsite. Beautiful area! Staff is extremely friendly and take great care of all the facilities and amenities they make available. Truly a family campground, with a lot of work going into ensuring their guests have a most pleasant stay with many activities and fun entertainment. And the location is ideal, close to major routes and plenty to do and see in the area. I will be returning soon!Nearby activities: Plenty of wineries, distilleries and micro breweries in the area! And easy access to Charlottesville, VA.

We stayed in the travel camper portion, and we loved it. This is one of our annual trips for First Responder Weekend. My kids love riding their bikes around the loop, fishing, playing in the creek, swimming in the pool, watching movies on the big screen stage, and just being outside kids. Great family environment and we will be back next year!

The campsite was clean and well spaced between sites. The natural landscaping and creek was beautiful! We used the park, community fire pit, and covered pavilion where the bounce pad used to be and all were nice areas and kid friendly. We had multiple families with us with kids ranging from 8 months to 9 years old and all had fun! Thanks for a great time Misty Mountain.

A very family-friendly campground. I liked how there were family and children's activities through the weekend such as a wagon ride, rock painting, acoustic music, and movie night. The campground is extremely clean and well-staffed. The pool was lovely and well-kept. There are shade trees and flowers all around and the grassy areas are nice, too. We enjoyed the creek as well as the pond. Wishing there was a bath house closer to the back country area. Whatever we needed was available at the campground store. We even rented a golf cart, which was nice to use at our leisure. This was a very good experience for us and we will be returning soon.
