I've been at this campground a few times with family, but this was the first time I've stayed in the cabins.
Reasonably priced, good collection of supplies, good space. My biggest complaint was the beds are rock solid, even as someone who likes firm mattresses. The place could also be cleaned with greater detail, we had spider friends in the shower and dirty in the corners. Some bleach and rags would go along way.
Still a great price for a great spot with all the amenities I could need for 3 ladies and 2 dogs.

Great Family RV, cabin in the woods, tent campgrounds. This is the best campground near Charlottesville. Close to mountain hiking, Bold Rock, breweries, vineyards, Monticello and other colonial attractions, great for kids, pets and empty nesters. Just had a three night stay. Sites are a little close but we were out and about the full day. They have carts you can rent, firewood, fishing pond, giant bounce pad, dog park, full hook ups, fast WiFi. Staff is great as well.
Nearby activities: Mountains, vineyards, breweries, cideries, UVA, Monticello, colonial Virginia sites…
Walkability: Great hike around the sites and close to mountain hiking
Food & drinks: Great camp store

We had such a great time at Misty Mountain! We went with two other families and each rented cabins. The kids loved the jump pad, mining for gems, playing in the creek, and swimming in the pool. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

We stayed here in our RV based on reviews and our desired location to travel. You will not be disappointed no matter which lodging you select. Saturday band on stage, Coffe and donuts Sunday. Well kept grounds, extraordinary bath house, dog park, jump pad to wear the kids out outdoor games. Highly recommend for the hospitality and customer service alone!
Nearby activities: Near Walnut Creek park disc golf course (30 mins) as one of top courses in Va if that’s your thing. About same distance from C’ville. Chiles peach orchard nearby and several other lakes/beaches and activities.

This is a $90 a night campground with Zero amenities. Sites are lumpy grass field. Good luck if the ground is wet. On the plus side, the grounds are very nicely kept. Paul is a friendly and helpful guy.

Very nice campground. We stayed in cabin two. It was smaller than expected but got the job done. There were lots of activities planned for the kids so that was great. If you are allergic to bees don’t go to the pool, there need everywhere! The fishing pond looks gross but there are actually living fish inside. Finding photos of the cabins is almost impossible so I’ll try to post some here. We would certainly return but would likely book a bigger cabin next time. If you plan to cook over the fire pit you need to bring a grate as most of the cabin pits don’t have them.

2nd morning empty campground with 1 neighbor anywhere near me. 2 staff members harassed me looking in my window at 1 and 245 without knocking or calling. I went out to ask who they were and they were mad, spitting near my motorhome, telling me my dog has to be on my leash and i will have to leave if they see him off his leash. I said he was not off my site as he's 14. In fact they never saw him off his leash and they tried to get my 1 neighbor to say my dog was off his leash but, they didn't. I then told the office what happened and they insulted me as well. It's obvious why the campground was empty as staff are ignorant and enjoy exhibiting what little power they have.
