Go-to spot for picking up beer when I'm visiting family and (obviously) a huge wine selection as well. Rich has excellent recommendations and constantly has new beers available, including ones from several of the Richmond breweries that aren't always as easy to find elsewhere.

I purchased the Greek Laconiko olive oil and balsamic vinegar because this was one of the few places in the DMV area that sells them.Both the olive oil and balsamic vinegar are stored in large canisters in the store and put in bottles for sale. And the person in the store didn’t have a clue as to the price, how often they get deliveries, etc.Few problems:1. If you purchase them when the canisters are low on oil, you can end up with old, stale olive oil.2. Handling of bottles and filling them manually aren’t sanitary. No gloves were used, etc.3. The bottle cap on the olive oil is very hard to take out, and the bottle doesn’t have a spill/drip-proof top.I bought them because I took a drive down to Great Falls and didn’t want to leave empty handed.Subsequently, I found a bakery in Annandale that carried them. Guess what? They sold the olive oil and balsamic vinegar in prepackaged bottles, with protective seals like in other imported brands. And the bottle tops have spill/drip-proof top. And the PRICES WERE THE SAME. Same size/volume and same price.

Richard is always super helpful. Store has a great selection and he’s been willing to stock some new vineyards at request - one from our summer. Vacation in South Africa years ago - he still buys! Try Remhoogte - a favorite! Supporting local feels great too!

Very disappointed- bought 3 bottles around the $25 range and one was quite good of Pinot Noir and the other 2 were awful!! The wines were sour. The attendant did not have any particular knowledge except she said the owners pick the wines and half of them were not even marked with prices. We stopped here on the way to Leesburg to get wines as a dinner gift. We were not pleased with the choices the attendant tried to select for us. Elayne K
