The Walmart Distribution Center generally provides a smooth experience for drivers. Check-in begins once at the check-in office, and once inside, trucks are quickly assigned a dock. Unloading times are often efficient, with some drivers reporting being unloaded in under an hour. The staff at the guard shack and in the shipping office are typically professional and courteous, making the process pleasant. Drivers appreciate the clear procedures and the fast turnaround times, especially when arriving early for appointments. However, there are some challenges, such as long lines at the gate and instructions that can change based on weather conditions. Safety concerns have been noted regarding the line outside the check-in office, which can be a hazard. Additionally, some drivers wish for better signage to prevent GPS confusion at the entrance. Overall, the facility is known for its professionalism and efficiency, with room for improvements in signage and gate procedures.
No more disconnecting from the trailer due to winter weather. But you will chalk tires, dolly down and stay connected but remove the red trailer airline before you send your paperwork to check in. However, they may always change their instructions based upon prevailing weather conditions.
