The first time I visited was to ask to hang a church “light up the night” flyer on their community board. They said “of course!”I’ve used this pharmacy for a couple years now and it truly is the family medicine of my youth. They know your name after a couple visits, always answer “how are you?” With “I’m blessed!”, the pharmacist has came in on a Sunday and opened to get my SSRI medication that I accidentally ran out of and absolutely cannot just stop taking. They have shared donuts with my kids when we’ve stopped in randomly, and I know they work hard to make sure national shortages of medications do not impact their regular long time customers. They take care of my family and I will take care of them by leaving good reviews, spreading the word, and shopping there even though it’s sometimes more convenient/cheaper/faster to use Amazon rx or CVS. I’d much rather have an actual place where I know they care about me and my health than just another number on paper and money in the pocket. Goochland is lucky to have Goochland Family Pharmacy!

I hate writing this because the employee's are so nice. But there is nothing worse then waiting to be taking care of while their socializing with other customers. Also there is no public bathrooms last time I checked and they close to early. By the time I get off work and get home. There closed.

I counted 5 employees not wearing masks when my family came through. Including the Pharmacist. And clearly this woman here, which is why I took this photo. There is no excuse for not wearing masks in a business, especially a pharmacy that supplies medications to older people and high risk groups. I will be reporting this pharmacy to the Virginia Health Department. Along with the photo I took today that was unedited with her talking to a man just 2 feet from her. Please show better responsibility and obey the restrictions like all other businesses and the community does.

This ain't your corner CVS! Oh no, this is a quaint country pharmacy has all your pharmaceutical, beauty and health needs in a small town environment! I was given a warm welcome and greeting when I walked in! "Let me know if I can help you find anything!" In the front of the store there was a display of Covid prevention products for sale. I picked up some hand sanitizer and a few other things there! Did I mention the gift shop? A whole corner is dedicated to Yankee Candles... I bought two jars and a car freshener too! They have some different fragrances, lots of summer scents! Other sections of the store have shelves of sports and team gear, garden, flags and housewares, jewelry, seasonal items as well as candy and toys. A great spot for unique gifts. The pharmacist came and helped me find a few other things I was looking for and was so cordial. No, there's not as much variety as those chain pharmacies, but the customer service and Mayberry feel is worth the experience!
