The green tax is high here. Save yourself the money and drive 45 minutes into town. I drive to Newport News and get it at half the price.

Had a problem with a Stihl trimmer. Was expecting a 2 week wait. Was informed probably 1 month wait time. I told them I didn't want to take it elsewhere because I had purchased it there. Being a small problem, they fixed it while I waited. Would highly reccomend. I know I'll be back.

BEWARE…To anyone thinking about getting hardwood mulch from the Gloucester southern states, you may want to think twice. At least look at it before you have it loaded. I bought 8 scoops yesterday at $35 per scoop and after putting down the first little bit, I am very frustrated and disappointed. This mulch is dry and faded. The only difference between what I just put down and last years mulch is an absence of pollen tags. Usually new hardwood mulch is a rich dark brown, almost black, and moist and when u pick up a handful it clumps in yr hand. This is very light brown and when you pick up a handful it runs through yr fingers like sand. After calling and speaking to the manager I got “it is what it is,“ “we have a new company we are dealing with this year,” and “I appreciate u calling to let us know.” I wasn’t looking for any kind of refund but being a retail manager myself, it sure would have been nice to at least get a sincere apology or for her to at least acted like she cared. This is a waste of my time and money and for someone who takes pride in their lawn, it kinda ruins our spring season. There will be no sitting back and saying “wow the yard looks great.” Instead, every time I look at it I’ll be reminded of how I paid almost $300 for garbage. I went to southern states because they are closer to me, but I wish I had spent the extra gas money and gone to Green Planters at the point who I usually deal with. They are super friendly and their mulch is the same price. Fool me once…you know the rest.

Always have what I need. Seems short staffed in the back but they're working their hardest.
