“It was one of the easiest body shop experiences I have ever had. The guys were friendly and laid back. My truck got fixed and turned out beautifully done. I'll take all my vehicles to AL's”
“I had my car repaired at Gunn's Body Shop. What an awesome job they did. I will always use them in the future if needed. They also basically detailed my car. It looked so good. I am so impressed with this company. If you need work please use them. You will definitely be happy with their work Thank you Gunn's Body Shop. You're the best!!!”
“If I could leave 10 stars I would. I was referred to Stiltner’s after I asked another auto mechanic, who was unable to make the repairs I needed, if he knew an honest repair shop who wouldn’t take me to the cleaners. I had broken down in Chesterfield County when a tire blew only to find out the other tire was also not drivable. The tires looked fine and had great tread - except if you got on your hands and knees the inside of both rear tires were stripped down beyond the steel belts and had separated. Evidently, I had a SERIOUS alignment problem. After having to leave the car overnight I took it to a Discount Tire shop in Chester Co to replace all four tires and get my car aligned. They put the tires on but said they could not align my car because the rear eccentric toe bolt was rusted, might break off and could end up being a big problem, cost hundreds of dollars and if they tried and it broke they might have to go all the way to NC to get another one. They also informed me the underside of my car had rust in other areas too. Needless to say, I was pretty upset and was expecting monumental repairs and a bill to go with them. They were nice enough, (snark), to provide me with a high tech diagnostic computer printout showing just how jacked up my car was. It was a great feeling envisioning the tires I just spent $1,300 on getting chewed to hell making the 100 mile trip back home.
Anyway, I called Stiltner’s and spoke to Steve, (I believe the owner), who told me to drop it off Sunday night and they would take a look at it. Based on my relaying the details of what the tire shop had told me, Steve explained the potential problems I could be looking at. Expecting the worse, and that I would be without a car for a few days, I dropped my car off and then jump started my 2000 Buick hooptie that hadn’t been driven, (or inspected), in 5 years and white nuckled it down the road.
At 10am Monday, Steve called leaving a message saying the car was ready, aligned and the bill was only $100! He went on to say he didn’t know what the tire shop was talking about and that the bolt was not a problem and only had a little surface rust. The bolt didn’t even need to be replaced. I felt like crying happy tears! I called back and spoke to TJ who did the repairs. I asked him about all the other rust under my car and he said it was nothing but a little surface rust, not a big problem. BTW, my car only has 89,000 miles on it. I told TJ what the tire shop had said and he told me he had another woman who had come in with a similar story - she was told she had a much bigger problem than she did.
I HIGHLY recommend Stiltner’s. They are fast, honest, ethical, and extremely fair. I used to live right off the same road where they are located and passed by daily but never knew they were there. It’s a little shop tucked in off the road. If you use your GPS you will have no problem finding them and you will be glad you did!”
