Only a 3 because of some of your recent changes. I was able to call and talk to a pleasant local person right away. Not a computer. And not in another country. I was never charged rent for my tank until recently, which has required no maintenance.

I was delivered gas that I didn't order 2 months ago and still haven't heard from someone to resolve the issue, even though the issue has been 'escalated' multiple times.

I think the State Attorney Generals office should look into the business practices of Amerigas and home builders that built houses for consumers and put Amerigas tanks into the homes they built. The consumers thinking that all the properties and the home belonged to them to include the tank in the ground' as well as the future purchasers of said homes got shocked when told the tank in the ground belonged to Amerigas and the homeowners were not free to purchase gas from anywhere except Amerigas creating a monopoly of gas distribution to homes built by xyz contractors. As a buyer of a home that had a Amerigas tank in the ground imagine our surprise when we were told we could not get gas from any other company but Amerigas. Then after about 10 years of "only" being able to buy from Amerigas unless we bought a new tank and had it installed to our house and the generator. Amerigas figured out a way to get more monies from unsuspecting home owners. Now they are charging us rent for the tanks (that they probably paid contractors kickback to put in the ground creating a monopoly of gas products to homes). Now monthly we are being charged rent on the tanks we thought we owned when in our case when we bought the home. Now to add to the monopoly no other gas company will deliver to a tank that bears Amerigas logo. Even though as renters of the tank we should be able to fill it with any company we want. I think we should send this issue the State Attorney General for looking at what I consider a high jack of property I thought we owned after buying my home. I don't see Amerigas on my mortgage or anywhere on my property purchase.

Over the last year I have called several times on various issues with my service. Every single time it takes 15 minutes MINIMUM to get a customer service agent on the phone, if anyone answers. My Amerigas service was truly the worst I have had with any in my adult life and would never recommend anyone using them.

This company is great! I never worry about running out of propane. Delivery guy is friendly and concerned my dogs are put up so they don't escape.

My gauge has been busted on my tank for over a year, nearly 2. I can't read it to know when to place an order. The refills are always 2 weeks late. Ever since you guys changed something it's absolutely terrible. Only reason I don't change is I'm not dependent on you for the fuel to survive. It's just a fireplace and a backup generator. I feel terrible for others who do need it in a timely manner. Do better.

Horrible customer service . Have been using them for 8yrs and they installed my tank it's has never been moved and they told me today they can't fill my tank which ran out before Thanksgiving and they never came out and wen they did com out they filled my tank then locked it because it needed to be relocated but can't tell me wen they will com to relocate. So here I am still no gas since before Thanksgiving now I have gas and they lock my tank out . Ridiculous trash customer service trash call center . Horrible people all around

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE RIP OFF ARTISTS. RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!! They charge WAY more than anybody, fees everywhere, and they REFUSE to sell the tank or come get it. Offshore CS only. Nobody in the US will talk to you. Lawyers will be getting involved. F- business.

For many people the experience starts with delivery of the gas; however, my 5 Star experience with Amerigas starts long before actual delivery. The company actually provides me with on-going updates regarding my fuel levels, which makes me feel like there is on-goin monitoring of my service. In addition, when my fuel gets to the level requiring delivery, they contact me (not me calling them) and gives me a window of time that my property will be serviced. This gives me a feeling of appreciation and importance to the business. The customer service has been excellent for me ever since I started with the company, from day one when I switched companies. I also enjoyed the benefit of referring others. Lastly, I truly appreciate the on-line access to my account and ability to communicate with them, the website is informative and user friendly. This is truly 5 Star service that I don't mind paying for.

You guys keep screwing up. We had this company in upstate NY and had no issues. Now we moved to Virginia and have an issue just about every fill. And I still cannot access my account. I called about it and he put in a ticket but, weeks later I still cannot get on. Not a very good business. Over charge all the time too. Military discounts aren't much but, these days anything helps.

If I could select zero stars I would. Terrible experience that words cannot even describe. The stress of dealing with incompetent staff and unwillingness to solve real problems is beyond frustrating. Do not give a dime of money or minute of your time to AmeriGas.

When I called and said that I smelled the rotten egg smell and needed someone to check it they came right away, found the leak and replaced the tubing behind my stove at no charge. It was definitely a lifesaving moment.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CHECK OUT THEIR YELP REVIEWS FOR A MORE ACCURATE RATING. I WOULDN’T PUT IT PAST THIS SHADY COMPANY TO BE MINING FALSE GOOGLE RATINGS FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS.I had service with this company back in November. I specifically asked for a 1:30 pm visit on a Friday since I knew I had to work. The “inspector” showed up at 10:30 am and got out of his truck and looked at the ground where the tank was and then got back into his truck and left. I was charged $100 for this “leak inspection” which SHOULD have been an INTERIOR leak inspection of my home. I also have this “inspection” on my ring camera footage. I was also supposed to be on a payment plan. Imagine my surprise when I received a bill for the full amount (over $600) due within 30 days. I called the company to dispute the inspection charges and to have it set on the payment plan, as originally agreed upon. I was assured the billing would be adjusted and the payment plan instated as it originally should've been. I then received another bill for the full amount and NOW with a late fee! I attempted to contact the company again with no follow up from them and received ANOTHER bill with a SECOND LATE FEE!! I was out of the state for work and dealing with a 5 hour time difference so my wife called to try to correct the billing, only to be told that only the person on the account could make payment arrangements lol. My wife filed a complaint with the BBB and literally a week later…. the bill has been sent to a collections agency.
