We had a great experience while in town. We probably came in on about six different occasions and the cashiers were always so friendly and personable! We would recommend a stop in at the Food Lion on any occasion!

Hayes, VA already gives off a racist vibe. I visited this location since I work in the area and it gives off the same vibe. No one spoke when I entered the store, but I had just watch a CSR speak to a pregnant white woman. Also please get your younger staff members under control. Every time I come in it's chaos in the front area, today I was cut off walking thru trying to enter the store by a CSR, I guess a Cashier seen it and instead of saying excuse me they both proceeded to laugh and could here him say "What did I do". I'm pretty his place wasn't with the cashier and it were other duties he could be completing as opposed to being in the way of the entrance of incoming shoppers! I usually stop here on my way home as it's across the street and in Route to Hampton. But I'll note this experience and the first 2. I grew up with food Lion, and this makes me feel uncomfortable to say the least!

Store has displays in the middle of aisles making it hard to get around, especially with a cart. Stocking is done at all times which is just in the way when you are trying to shop. Cashier was rude after I greeted her twice, she didn't respond. This happens every time I'm here.

Always been an extremely helpful and friendly store. GenerAlly the shelves are well stocked with a good selection of items. Recently they have been renovating the store and that has caused some issues with certain items being in stock. However in my opinion the store is long overdue for a facelift. Produce is always fresh and lots of options in the meat section. I do wish they had more country specific sections as I like to experiment cook dishes from other countries.
