Go somewhere else for your propane/energy needs. After more than 10 years of using them for my propane needs, always prompt in paying for the propane and rental fees if charged, they have closed my account with no notice. After spending more than $300 to fill the tank, I had to leave unexpectantly due to a death in the family. My mail was held by a neighbor until I settled on a place where I would be for a few months. I then had the post office forward my mail. But evidently, a rental bill for $114 was sent to the old address and didn't reach me in FL until Feb 23rd with a note saying the tank would be removed if not paid by Feb 1st. I tried going online to pay the bill but account was closed. A neighbor went over to the house and found the tank removed. So to reiterate, after spending $300 plus to fill the tank, they removed it a couple months later for a $114 bill. They didn't try to contact me by phone or email even though they have that information on file. They also have credit card and could have used it to pay the fee....but instead the stole the propane and removed the tank. I'm still not back in Virginia and won't be able to return for another couple months as i continue with the probate process in two other states......how is this customer service, especially after being a customer for so many years? The company needs to get with the modern era and use other means to contact their customers. They rely heavily on their phone system and emails, why can't they use the same means to contact their customers. By the way, they haven't responded to my inquiries.......and where is the $300 plus you stole in propane? I look forward to their response. They came highly recommended when i first became a customer many years ago. Something has changed during those years, customer service is NOT one of their strong points any longer!

Paid for propane didn't receive until 15 days later. However if I paid another 100 dollars they would have brought it sooner, I considered this bad costumer service since being a mom with small child they let me be without heat 15 days

Had Tech come out and clean/check gas logs for yearly checkup. Always cheerful, helpful. And ready for I r questions. They always seem to go the extra mile for me i.e. checking batteries.

Customer service is excellent! Phillips Energy makes it so easy to heat your home. If you do the once a year program heating oil, it's literally one and done! You never have to worry about it the rest of the year. Great options too!

I have bought diesel fuel and filled propane tanks from Phillips Energy for several years. Their prices seem a little high but they're close by and convenient. I recently priced having them install 2-120 gallon propane tanks for a generator and gas log stove. They were about double the estimates I got from other companies. I also asked their price that particular day for propane and they quoted me a price of $4.59/gal. I called other companies and their prices ranged from $2.89-3.09. That's a significant difference and the reason I chose another company.

Nice folks but office staff could use some candy. Charging a monthly rental fee on a propane tank doesn't want to make me want to do business with them. After all they are not giving me a discount on the fuel. Charging a delivery service fee might be a better idea. Pretty disappointed.

Outstanding delivery services. I ordered my heating fuel for regular delivery and they were putting in my tank within 90 - 120 mins. I understand it was a opportune time but that's pretty quick anywhichway! Expedited delivery was not requested or expected.

Phillips Energy has always been great to do business with either with our propane needs, gas for our vehicles or diesel fuel for the tractor. They are truly a 'hometown" company that continually gives back to the community.

MY first encounter with the technician in 2022 was not comfortable.Your employee was impatient and bored with someone asking questions about the equipment and tank at her property. Proper customer care training is required.

In 2021, my husband sustained a broken neck and spinal cord injury 371 miles from our home in Gloucester. It has now been 15 months since the injury and still have not been able to come home. A month ago, he lipped that he wanted to go home. We were faced with hurdles that impact the ability for him to go home. That biggest hurdle was finding a company that would provide a propane tank to a residence. I called all possibilities with no success and then I connected with John Phillips of Phillips Energy. Mr. Phillips jumped that hurdle for us! What was a 'No' from others was a 'YES' from John Phillips of Phillips Energy. My husband will be in his own fortress because of John. Many thanks!

They've started gouging on #2 red (home heatung /farm) since fuel prices have gone up. We fill the fuel buddy at the off road pump and use it in the heater, the standby, etc. Off road used to be about 80 cents a gallon cheaper than road diesel.Riddle me why untaxed diesel is now 5.19, road is 5.39, and I can go to any of a half dozen stations along 17 and find road diesel for 4.99, 20 cents less than off road? Because it's home heating fill season, that's why. When taxed diesel at the exxon is 20 cents a gallon less than off road at the fuel distributor, it's glaringly obvious what they're up to.
