Fake complaint was filed and BBB did nothing to disprove or remove complaint until Company did a conference call with them and involved parties and person filling admitted to false claims ! No way to respond to BBB posted emails - what a joke of an outfit ! Atleast make responding available as we are here to correct any issues if we have been incorrect in our work .

We bought a lemon washer and had the same problem since 2020 with a Speed Queen washer from Appliances on Lakeside. Warranty is for 5 years but complaint was rejected right off the bat and closed. It's no wonder they have an A+ rating with one positive review. In all my years nothing has been accomplished by a complaint to this BBB. I realize they cannot make anyone do anything but should at least present the situation for others to use as a guide.UPDATE 7/26/2023 They are an authorized Speed Queen repair facility Broughton Appliance Repair owned by Appliances on Lakeside do their repairs. The tech they sent did not fix the problem and we had to call back after a week asking what was up. We were then talked to rudely by her service manager and decided to attempt partial compensation for a lemon washer which was flatly denied. This is not a case that deserves an A+ rating in our opinion. There should at least be an explanation on the BBB of the situation rather than censoring the whole process by not listing our complaint or our review. Something here makes no sense. Update 11/7/2023 Now we have a second problem Permanent press cycle hangs up and machine stops

I've seen a lot of value in my accreditation with the Central VA BBB. Barry Moore runs a class act operation. My opinion...Today more than ever the BBB plays a important role in the consumer buying process by bridging the gap between doubt and trust when choosing a service provider.

I filed a complaint against West Broad Kia on 10/18/22 and Richmond BBB so far has not helped me regarding this dealership. They closed my complaint telling me that basically the issue was handled when West Broad Kia so far has done nothing to help me with my car issues that they caused. I asked for a Richmond BBB Manager and never got one. Now come to find out they never replaced my windshield wipers and I emailed the manager Mr Fisher and haven't gotten a response. Richmond BBB doesn't care about consumers they are on the business side of things. I'm sure West Broad Kia paid them to be on their side. Do better Richmond BBB.

I recently had a TERRIBLE experience with the Richmond BBB, with which I had filed a complaint against a business. Before I briefly describe my experience, I will give my two takeaways. First, if you are a consumer considering filing a complaint with the Richmond BBB, do not waste a single minute of your time doing that — and I mean not a single minute! Second, if you are a business owner against whom a complaint has been filed, then just lie through your teeth, and the whole thing will go away. In short, I am convinced that this BBB could not care less about consumers and instead is concerned solely with siding with businesses that fund the Richmond BBB. Long story short: (i) I filed a complaint with the Richmond BBB for being grossly deceived by a CarMax AutoCheck report, with my complaint providing a very specific, detailed recitation of the facts, (ii) CarMax responded with a narrative riddled with mistruths (otherwise known as lies), (iii) I then immediately provided the Richmond BBB with a point-by-point explanation of the CarMax lies, including supporting documentation, and (iv) the very next day, the Richmond BBB closed the case, farcically claiming that CarMax had “addressed” the issues in my complaint. What a joke! The Richmond BBB employee in charge of my complaint (Walin Atkisson) acted more like a CarMax representative than the neutral party she claimed to be. At least I am not alone in being jerked around by the Richmond BBB. I took the time to read many of the consumer reviews below, and of the first 12 consumer reviews I came across, 11 were one-star reviews (at which point I stopped the exercise). The common theme in those one-star reviews is that the Richmond BBB cares solely about the businesses paying dues to the Richmond BBB. In my opinion, the Richmond BBB is borderline corrupt.

Richmond Va. My experience with IME turned to a nightmare. After saving for a ten thousand dollar floor project I proceeded to floor and decor to Pick out the flooring For the entire downstairs of my home. After carefully choosing and purchasing. I questioned If they had a specific reputable installation co. They walked me over to another isle which housed a male that sits and sets up installation. The name of this company was a Installation made easy recommendation. A date was set for install. When they finally arrived I was told 4-5 days tops on install. There was no crew or multiple installers to work the job and get it done timely. Not only did they leave 1 male to remove and install the entire lower floor alone. Help was provided only on days I called owner demanding additional help. They we're also paid to remove and install all of the baseboards. The floor was installed incorrectly and, there were chips found in the flooring as well as unlevel at the transition areas where 1 room meets another after Multiple calls to the owner almost Daily for lack of help as well as concerns on the installation. The employee had been with the company only 6 months and he was left alone to install my $10,000 job. I called to floor and decor many times however was told that IME was not actually employed by them so no help. To make a long story short, my home was left dirty, glue stuck to the floors which would not come off and employees using degreasers for a car engine as well as Mr. clean pads which took the sheen off the floor on some of the flooring, also a hole in wall. Some of the flooring was not locked in together causing creaking as well as gaps betweenboards. The baseboards were Put in improperly and had to be pulled up and reinstalled. Finally after demanding again to bring in help, the job completed after 8 days. The floor is now bulging up off the floor. I would NEVER use this company or recommend to anyone.

this office is a joke. i worked hard to give this bbb the proof of my response of showing capitals one admittance, that they made a mistake by giving me a bad credit rateing,when in fact i applied for an unsecured credit card..this va. bbb still shut my case anyways as completed! now this bad rateing will on my fico score for 2years! not only is this bbb lazy and uncooperative. but took sides with hard nose mean spirited capitol ones hateful opinion and outright lies that they capital one refuses to write or call the credit bureaus to take this adverse statement of , with regard to my fico score! guest the BBB did not read the article of the class action suit against capital one where capital one lost..
